But streaming from Windows Media Player or Zune is just shit. Try the alternatives.

From one who HAS tried the alternatives, Windows Media Center works rather well. The windows 7 edition is rather reliable and zipping forwards and backwards in video hasn't been faster. I do recall TVersity utterly failing when trying to fast forward or rewind, and even causing blue screens, but that was about a year ago that I last tried it.

One of the things I don't like about Mac (and there are a few) is that many games are not released for Mac or if they are, they are released way after they are released for everything else.

That's an argument against the games industry, not against the Mac.

Depends on how you look at it. Windows OS upgrades tend to be spaced farther apart then mac os upgrades. I've seen Mac OS upgrades destroy new and previously working applications, requiring a purchase of updated software who's sole new feature is that it can run on the new Mac OS. Maybe the games industry doesn't want to have to go back and rewrite thier code from scratch because apple is changing the way the OS handles something. Adobe ran into this and chose to strip 64-bit support from Photoshop for the current Mac OS release.

Valve is consolidating these issues with the source engine. Update source to run on the newest Mac OS, not x amount of individual games.

Please DO check out the fossil record. 100 million years is a long time, once life reaches a certain stage, to spread and diversify. Just look at the changes in the human genome in the last million. Or in domestic dogs in the last 10,000.

And while you're at it, show ONE piece of scientific evidence that the world was designed.

Religion has been the number 1 drawback of humans. Superstitious beliefs that have pandered to the basest instincts of the ignorant, giving people a license to hate.

And the worst offenders by far in the last 1,000 years have been the Christians. Justifying everything from owning slaves to hating gays, lesbians and transsexuals "because Gawd sez so." Sorry, but "because Gawd sez so" isn't acceptable any more.

So there are differences in the Genome. What has really changed since then?

As well, I agree that historical Christianity has been a blight. Then again, historical Christianity didn't follow the Bible. They bent it the same as Hitler bent science to promote the so-called superiority of the "aryan race".

But I notice how eager you are to attack my beliefs without stating your own. You've attempted to dodge the question twice now. Maybe you don't really know what you believe. Maybe you just know you hate those who believe in God. Or maybe you simply hate God. Not my problem. But it becomes everyone's problem when one group tries to replace one widely accepted (and currently unprovable) theory, with another (constantly adjusted and currently unprovable) theory.

As for Gimp, I've used it, actually on both windows and mac. The gimp brush engine makes me want to vomit. They have minor adjustments compared to what photoshop offers. Also, even with extra plugins, Gimp doesn't even come close to photoshop's simple, effective "High Pass" filter. Go ahead and use Gimp, but don't try to pass it off as a superior product. Here are my system specs, to back up my claims. As you can see, nothing special (copy and pasted from my [H]ard|Forum sig):

"This is alarming," Barth said of Windows 7 machines' resource consumption. "For the OS to be pushing the hardware limits this quickly is amazing. Windows 7 is not the lean, mean version of Vista that you may think it is."

Barth acknowledged that XPnet's data couldn't determine whether the memory usage was by the operating system itself, or an increased number of applications, but said that Devil Mountain would start working on finding which is the dominant factor in increased memory use.

Barth contradicts himself within 3 adjacent paragraphs. He has no idea what is causing the increased memory usage. What is alarming is how often people will believe sensationalistic stories like this one.

I actually tried on a friend's old computer and gave up ten minutes later. PS7 has full vector fonts, which allow lossless resize and transform effects. Simplistic quotations as the "circle" of the earth, or the earth "hanging upon nothing" fit well for the people at the time, who likely barely grasped what they were recording.

Vague and true is better then overly detailed falsity. If science has figured out how the universe was created, lets see the test results.
