I assumed KDE blew all their money on purchasing ever larger icons and hiring liguists to figure out ways to add the letter 'K' to every word in the GUI.
Creators of the Magna Carta, abolishment of slavery before anyone else in the Western World, remaining unbowed and unbroken under the murderous onslaught of fascism, the home of Monty Python and Top Gear, FFS!... and in about ten years they've allowed their goverment to rapidly wear away everything that is right and good about them. I do not understand.
Of course, as an American I live in fear we will exceed even No. 10 when the GOP comes to power again.
Naturally, this civilization would practice the same religion as ours. And anyone here who disagrees with that truth needs to be dealt with. Harshly. Praise [fill in the blank]!
That being said, reliable treatments (cures) for different types of cancers can still be developed.
Big Pharma loves treatments (aka steady revenue streams), but they have NO interest in cures. They came up with drugs to keep HIV-positives and diabetics alive, but cures? Oh, nonono: not allowed, as they couldn't charge enough to make up for lost revenues.
Amen. A big story in my little GOPburg yesterday was about a dude pulled over for DUI and the trooper finding a BOMB in his car! A BOMB, A BOMB!! the media shouted - intentionally leaving out the word 'pipe', as 'pipe bomb' doesn't sell nearly as well as intimating 30 megatons worth of precious-snowflake-killing-death powered, no doubt, by Black Islamic Socialism. Naturally, the cops played along, dragging the bomb disposal unit across the entire state to blow up the car so they could all achieve a brief erection.
What more frequently happens is the corporate owners slowly start to cut the maintenence budget (because obviously less money is needed for upkeep as the physical plant ages!). I use Opera under Ubuntu and increasingly more ads are slipping through and are impervious to the Block Content... method. Digg is probably the worst site about this. Oops - I mentioned Digg on Slashdot; there goes all my Karma.
'carry out all online banking activity from a standalone, hardened, and locked-down computerthat is not running Windows from which e-mail and Web browsing is not possible.
As much as I despise Apple and Daniel Plainview - er, Steve Jobs - I think they are legitimately concerned about a bad app destroying the ability of a customer to use the device as a phone to call for help in a truly life or death situation. Not for moral reasons of course, but because Apple is one of the highest-profile deep pockets around and could even be an effective Big Evil Company spring-board for an Attorney General with asperations for higher political office.

That's how they invented Restless Leg Syndrome!

Five minutes after putting it back together, Ben would put Linux on it.

No, but I have seen a cart before a horse.

Seriously, Mr. FCC why do you allow this?

Accuracy is important in these issues.
And if you're returning to the US from overseas, kindly ask the nice TSA people to charge up your laptop before taking you off to MPAA Prison.
