90% of tech workers are worth less than house painters. Just look around on Slashdot... a bunch of bitter, ego-obsessed, antisocial losers. Completely unemployable and unlikeable.
In the world (or something like that), it seems that doing a statistically random poll is a more accurate representation than the way the FCC does it anyway. Why do Zonk, kdawson, and the rest of the mental midgets at Slashdot obsess about this issue anyway? It's not as if broadband penetration means much of anything, if those who want to use it can use it at work anyway.
Half of all news reports say that companies are becoming disillusioned with outsourcing and the other half say it's going to increase, I wish we could get a clear, honest, rational assessment of the situation so we can find out what to do about it.
Exactly, nobody sane wants to spend their time on a train sitting next to some smelly, unwashed Slashdot geeks ranting about Bill Gates like a lunatic for 6 hours. At least a plane is a lot quicker. Cars are preferable to that.
Eh? Why do you think we have extradition treaties? The parent poster I responded to acted like nobody has ever been extradited. I pointed out that he was ignorant, which he was.
No? We just extradited the dog, dude! Point is that it happens all the time. We have something things called extradition treaties with other nations. The GP is an ignoramus.
It looks to me, for the most part, that the US lost out due to an over-regulatory environment rather than "tax revolts" or "evil Republicans"... which sounds about right.
Despite losing its top position, the US still maintained a strong focus on innovation, driven by one of the world's best tertiary education systems and its high degree of co-operation with industry, the report said.
Not that I would expect Slashdotters to actually READ the articles they are hysterically responding to.
For greens and libertarians that is. How much environmental damage is caused by misguided government subsides? How much environmental damage is directly caused by the government, by say, war (for example, among others)? I was reading this morning that FEMA flood insurance is causing people to move into environmentally sensitive areas in mass numbers, because they don't have to be responsible for that decision.
Actually, I think that anti-cybersquatting laws are "marxist" (not really, but they ain't capitalist). Internet domains should be treated like property like anything else... at least the commercial extensions (".com" etc.) should.

Don Imus.
JK.
Subsidizing does? Are you kidding? You idiots are subsidizing a British billionaire!
It's the American way!

If weight is unlimited, then doesn't it make sense for trains to be used *primarily* for freight and for airplanes to be used for passenger travel?
Well then get a bunch of 747's. And air travel is safer than train travel.
I don't think that's necessarily correct, air travel, for example, is a form of mass transit.
Exactly, nobody sane wants to spend their time on a train sitting next to some smelly, unwashed Slashdot geeks ranting about Bill Gates like a lunatic for 6 hours. At least a plane is a lot quicker. Cars are preferable to that.
Sadly? Why sadly? Because we let people live how they wish to live?
as a 747.

Are you stupid or something? We extradite our own citizens like this. Only in Slashdot could something this ignorant be modded higher.
When the populace keeps electing a mental midget like Ray "Chocolate City" Nagin, it's hard to feel sorry for them.

From it:

They do have cars that run on restaurant oil waste.
This site puts the US at a relatively high IP rate, so I'd gather that many users get their internet fix from work or school.
Two party system, proportional representation bad... blah blah blah...

Are you David Ickes or something? ;)
