Yep. First to file probably simplifys things for the one with fewer lawyers and less time/money. First invention is hard to prove. The laser and the radio are famous examples, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Gouldhttp://www.pbs.org/tesla/ll/ll_whoradio.html
First to file should be simple to decide - but since its a legal thing even that can probably become a thicket of annoyance to prove and defend.
Split screen is lame. But dual monitors, with one screen per user would rock. My kids fight for the computer all the time and this would solve some problems. Then in single pc mode it would have dual (or triple) monitors.
This is flat out wrong. IE7 only runs on winXP and newer. So all the people running win2000, NT, 98 and 95 are stuck with IE6. Likewise pre-XP users are stuck with the 'old' media player version 9.0.
Later the article implies that the current 49% of IE6 users will migrate to IE7. This shares the same flaw mentioned above. Anyway, people who don't want IE7 can either decline the install, or set a registry value to opt out forever. Or just don't use IE7; any product they give away for free has some ulterior motive.
>>now we have to worry about the boss randomly firing you to hire someone with no experience whatsoever
I can see it happening. But it might be ok if it happens to the right asberger-idiot. But maybe not, beware of omelets made with bad logic.
Dont brick me bro!!
They should count up all the 'lucky clicks' and write off the lost revenue.
