    I would have to disagree with that.
    To be a hacker you do need to have a high IQ, somthing like 140 and you also need to have an intererst and a passion for code and computers, and i can garentee that the average grunt does not have an IQ of 140 and love computers.

    2. Why not just use the American $$$$$$ like everyone else?

    There is always a few minutes of mobile phone problems at new years because everyone triesd to call everyone else, it happens every year.

    If there was a major problem with an OS, ISP, power company or whatever it would have been broadcasted by someone (telephone, radio, morse and long distance flag signals) So any problems could be posted.

    Woohoo, happy new year. I'm in Sydney at the moment and no the world has not come to an end, to many people's disapointment. The only prob we have had is mobile phone services being flooded with people trying to ring other people to wish them a happy new year. Well time to continue partying.

    Has anyone noticed that when you use programs that let you create programs or web pages from templates such as front page (shudder) the code created is mainly filled with useless babble. Because computers are becoming bigger and faster Software can be written really sloppy and people don't notice because the machines are now fast enough so it dosn't make much difference. It would be interseting to see how much programming code has deteriated since the days when people had to hack away at pragrams at MIT in the 60's.
