It is only uncomfortable for the visitors. There are probably areas where you work that employees are perfectly comfortable with but a visitor might not be comfortable in the same areas.
I love the weather comments. They show that people just don't think on a large scale. I work at Dallas Love Field and I went home an hour late last night because of bad weather in the morning on the other side of the country. Most people would not realize that.
It is far from a free ride. Any thing that is transported first has to match the orbit of the transport. If you are matching the orbit to transport something, you might as well take it the rest of the way on your own.
Unfortunately, some things are natural monopolies. If every monopoly was broken up, you'd have a phone line for every phone company, a cable for every cable company, power lines for every electric company, gas lines for every gas company, pipes for every water company, so on and so forth. Sometimes a monopoly is better, sometimes it is abused. The solution is to stop the abuse, not to break up the monopoly.
How much should they be allowed to spend? Putting everyone into the same box is a bad idea. Some kids have more disposable income than others. Why shouldn't they be allowed to spend it?
Clearly you did not do your due diligence when updating the apps. IAPs didn't just magically appear, you had to update the app and every single app I have made it clear there were now IAPs available within the app.
That's really weird. My parents got a low end Netgear router years ago and it was adjustable. I never realized that it might not be on other routers. That's why I read slashdot.
Sure, people lived sustainably for thousands of years but back then the elders of the tribes weren't even old enough to consider retiring before they died.
What world do you live in? Dallas, TX to London is 7.5-8 hours nonstop. London to Dallas is 10-11 hours nonstop. I've flown that many times. The Concorde was not "quite profitable". In some ways it was profitable but it broke even on day-to-day operations and security modifications following 9/11 were cost-prohibitive. In practice, the sonic boom was a huge problem that limited it to very few routes. You want to fly it between every major business center to maximize profit but that wasn't possible.the Concorde was a great idea but in practice it only had very limited usefulness.
That's one of my gripes with Wi-Fi popularization. For example, lots of people use Wi-Fi in small apartments, when Ethernet cabling would do just fine, just because they want to choose to access the web on their couches, kitchen or desk. Caveat: the distance between the kitchen and the couch is often much less than 10 feet.
How is one supposed to run Ethernet throughout their apartment and then plug in their iPhone or Android?
You shouldn't have any problems finding a wireless router that has adjustable transmission power. My cheap router is adjustable. You certainly don't need to look at commercial APs.

I was thinking the other way around. Every company is going to put one on everything they can so they can put their logo on every picture you take.
I believe you are thinking of a UV filter.

How is it an investment if there is no return?
Your 4th point is not true for everyone. If you got a promotional rate, you are most likely in a contract complete with an ETF.
You are correct. I bet the confusion comes from the modem using the existing cable to distribute data through the house.

A Martian probe was destroyed by a mixup of SI and Imperial units so it seems safe to say they may have overlooked something basic.

There's more to it. Not everybody can run ethernet in their apartment.

I didn't believe you so I looked up several aircrafts' cruising speeds and you are right. The 707 is a speedy plane compared to today's planes.

Isn't engineering just applied physics?

The Xbox 360 is a poor example. You have to subscribe to Xbox Live Gold in order to stream Netflix. Who want a subscription to have a subscription?
It took me a month to download every episode of Voyager due to limited availability.
Is network processing really intensive? Dumb phones don't seem to have a problem with.
Every company's story is full of mishaps. They just have so many products that the mishaps are lost in the noise.
My IP currently points to a city about 40 miles away from my actual location. A city of millions falls within that circle.
