dropping concrete balls into the volcano. I already tried that and ended up sleeping on the couch for my efforts. They should try some flowers instead.
At my school we get frequent donations of old computers from various companies who don't want too spend the resources to dispose of them and instead let us take care of it while they pocket the tax break. So now the school board is starting to look into using them as Thin client running off of a couple servers(Using Linux.) AFAIK they already have a test case set up at another school. So hopefully this trend back to Thin Clients will result in some products to make out life easier.
Theres no way in hell that this is going to float in a corporate environment and if there trying to win back linux users saying that you need to have a copy of XP already installed seems to be the wrong way to go about it. Also I have never once been able to use the recovery function in place of a reinstall. I don't really see this bit of M$ BS going anywhere but the toilet real fast.
I believe you meant goodbye-server.com there. But seriously I'm assuming that Microsoft is going to be to happy about this and will probably have their lawyers try to cue that domain into their possession. Any more legally inclined people out there care to offer there opinion/insight?
Censorship is the fault of the Chinese government, All Google ever did was respect and abide by the laws of the country they're trying to do business in. If you don't like then the censorship then you should chase after the government not the business. In fact it would have been a very bad decision for Google NOT to do business in China because it is a HUGE market.
Don't worry in a few weeks Google will buy the company, absorb the technology and will then give everybody's tax information away in exchange for looking at small text ads.
And don't laugh 'cause you know it's gonna happen
would require grassroots causes, even bloggers, who communicate to
500 or more members of the public on policy matters, to register and report
quarterly to Congress
Is there a legal definition for grassroots? Is any website that contains political commentary therefor grassroots? What if I only have the occasional political post? Also it can be rather hard to tell whether all the views are unique or not what if I find a blogger that I don't like and using a botnet/IP spoofing generate 1000 fake views and then send the cops after him for failure to register after a few days.
Without seeing the bill in full it seems too vague and open to abuse to ever be seriously implemented. But regardless I live in Canada and I don't have a blog(am I the only one?) so this doesn't really affect me whichever way it goes.
I think maybe you need to be reminded that the 2.6 kernel is still the development kernel. That means that it is at times unstable and you SHOULD NOT be running important data on it, that's the job of the 2.4 stable kernel.
Alright the for those of you not cool enough to be using 95/98 "rmdir /s C:"
fine "deltree c:" then. Happy now
I can't wait to walk into computer labs at school and yell out "rm -rf /" and then walk away whistling.
No where am I going to get those high res photos of the nudist beaches.
Oh wait this in USA? Sorry my mistake carry on.

Are Canadian reactors just not worth protecting? What if some terrorist decides to blow us all to hell? It'll be your fault Google for putting this sensitive information in the hands of the enemy.

I'm pretty sure it does, at least I remember installing a x86_64 2.4 kernel at some point in the misty pasts.
