gas prices being what they are, considering extra mileage and wear and tear on vehicles i think this will SAVE drivers money.. not to mention time, and since time is money saving 2 hours and ~ 2 gallons of gas will really really worth it for drivers.. the site says most drivers will be taking a trip 100km shorter.. thats 62 miles, figuring 30mpg (and thats generous) thats 2 gallons of gas.. figure they probably pay (at least) the equivalent of $3 per gallon (probably way more) and then all of a sudden the bridge doesnt become too much of a bad deal for drivers. i guessed the gas price.. when I lived in barcelona gas was ridiculously expensive.. so i figured $3 was about right
broward county in FL (laudeerdale, sunrise...) has had this for over a year, i like it except for the part about shitty authentication. i like bing able to see my grades real time, i just dont like the idea that anyone with my student number and birthdate can too. the potential for abuse is big
I have PNA in my 6 bedroom house on our main phoneline, I put the dsl-style filters before each phone and it works great. From the 2 farthest points in the network i get like 9mbps So I'm pretty happy, The line it's on has 5 phones attached to it and 6 computers attached to it. my only complaint is the bandwidth, i wish i had like 100mbps but 9 will have to do for me i guess until i run some other wires
cool... i wish you could like change the textures and images though... if you could make the BG wireframe (glowy green wires of course) and then have the connections look like a red laser thing and stuff like that youd have something straight out of hollywood
you could spray it with laquer or super blonde shellac... that would take car of the scratches problem... and when i mean spray i dont mean spray can shit.. i mean like with a HVLP gun, like you do with wood
everyprogram should have its own license, see in my opinion you should add another clause to your license that says changes YOU as the developer can do whatever the fuck you may please and have no obligation to anyone... I seriously think that if you started the project, and it mostly your code and its your program you should be able to do whatever you please without being restricted by a license, after all, it IS your program..... thats what I think.. or change the license now... thatswhat i would do.. i would use an OS type license that allows you to do whatever you want.
I hope you mean that the installler is ported to linux otherwise you are a moron... for those of you who dont know BeOS has the VERY COOL capability of executing a program from your other OS that launches you into a BeOfs img file in your hard drive, so you never actually need to make another partition for it. Also I think that BeOS is somethins that should be used to train windows people that will be working with unices is thye short term feature as the file system, and command line interfaces are pretty much the same as linux. seriously guys BeOS is one cool OS, fast as hell. one of the best netlibs ive used, its completely beautiful, oh so efficient (you can d/l the WHOLE OS plus a lot of programs in a 42mb installer file) It works almost out of the box, no config needed.. FAST stable as hell for me, and it has the option of having multiple desktops with different backgrounds, color depths and resolutions (A dream come true for web developers and img people) Ive been using BeOS for about a week and well I love it... plus it has a bunch of CODECS built into the kernel so they are fast as hell, its trully media OS as well as a networking OS in my opinion... i see it as a really really good OS to have in a corporate environment as its easy to use, pretty, efficient, stable... and more... what more could you want for your typical user or "power user"
some one needs to read on hardware. I think that the pipelines that they are reffering to are what makes the Athlon (K7) do way faster floating point operations, i dunno, im not a hardware man so what am i doning dissing you? well basically floating point pimpe lines just speed up floating point operatios which is good for games and stuff.
heh its not, this drink is to classy for that, and too expensive, it wont make you jitter butit will damn good make you not be tired, I keep all the bottles, the bottles aret he shit, they are the reason i buy this shit... (caffeine has no effect on me) Most my friends drink bawls no one ever gets jolted, i myself have no efffect at all because ive been drinking and ingesting large ammounts of caffeine since i was a baby so its lost effect, its a damn curse!!! heyh, well in 2600's issue of like 3 quarter, in 1997 they have an article called hack your head, look into that article for some cool and safe recipes to keep ya up all night. by the way I have the poster at my wall, the one with the naked chick on the horse, it just makes me love my bawls...
heh you all are dumb, im talking to redhat bashers, redhat HELPS the Linux OS community, it makes great programs, it helps majourly with GNOME which was created lets not forget so wewould have a FREE alternative to KDE they contribute toLinux and give people cool jobs, propietary software needs to work out of the box, no problems at all, so they pick the most popular distro and design it around that, why because they need it to work perfect in that one not near perfect in the rest, most likely redhat designed software will work on ost other distro's maybe a few quirks that have to be fixed but thats all, distro's have many differences and its hard to be compatible with everything so people go with what has the top userbase, plus RPM is cool and i can think of at least 3 popular distro's made from redhat's core, so that brings you to compatibility with almost anyone.
Google rules, its fast and accurate. I found things in google that I couldnt find in altavista and no ads nas-T pageswith 10000 images and adds. its simple and does what its meant to do. What we need now is more pages indexed by the robot, but unfortunately I see a problem. If google keepscaching pages soon it will have may to many pages stored and use gig's and gig's of space and bandwidth for this sole porpouse instead of searching. My other idea is this let googlebots free, let them roam and spider uncontrolably just go out there and never stop adding pages instead of adding pages once in a while. what im talking hear is big time indexing with robots running around fetching pages at masive speeds and never stopping in order to grow massivly huge and have googols of documents. Thats what should be done but unffortunately i dont think google has 100 quad Xeons with gig's of ram at its didposal plus a couple of Terabytes of SCSI arrays. That would be cool. I woulder what kind of database could with stand something like that? Advanced features i would ove to see more advanced features like altavista then itd be cool. i also saw another cool engine somewhere alltheweb.com i think it was that one is FAST but not that accurate.
Thats what I use... Im on windows though im not sure about Mac compatibility Ill explain why I say What I say.
They all are easy to use, cant get much easier than what they are and they perform well.
Dreamweaver: I love Templates Library and All the Suite management features also The pretty good code it generates for WYSIWYG, other things it has is SSI emulator which you have to love and good style sheet support.DHTML kicks in this program having tons of pre made behaviours that work extremely well and are very flexible, and also work in IE and NS.. finally!
Homesite: This program rules for editing your code, so its just right it has a design view but that will kill all formating, stick to Dreamweaver for visual stuff. Its integration of the code sweeper, preview mode style sheet support site management features as well as some fancy things here and there, I love the color coading especially usefull for people who also use JS PHP Perl and other laguages mixed in there it does all osrts of of cool things and the validator islightning fast, you also have to love search and replace feature.
TopStyle: Not out yet im using an alpha, im a tester, its only for win32 and all it does is style sheets and site management but it does what it does exellently fats easy keeps formating, its made by the same guy that made Homesite so you will notice resemblance to it, I think the program is so big its kind of over kill for editing style sheets but it will save you tons of time and keep everything by the standards if you use CSS, its a good tool tht is not totally needed but helps a lot.
These are my 3 favoutite tools I use all 3. but you only need this much power if you are going for proffessional stuff a BIG BIG job. The best tool though is knowing HTML4 and CSS1 and 2 so you can polish everything. You needto know this stuff and you HAVE to stick to the standards.
OH god, what i owuld do for a box like that!! or anything else with SGI hardware but Linux and SGI? yes please please gimme gime gimme! ok geting weird here, But seriously i wonder what distro will be used, personal vote is Debian, sorry RH, (you are just not suited for this)! No offence but I think RedHat is putting a lot of features into Starbucks that well, arnt quite necessary for this and this needs a more expert-aimed distro (any newbies getting one o these?) Still though I think SGI boxes are at its best in IRIX which is mad cool
Not really hard to figure out... SGI, meand badass custom hardware which means bad ass custom drivers for kick ass performance! 2 If they ship Debian, Debian will get mad publicity, or Slackware, or they could ship Red Hat and go with the well known distro.. which would be a mistake Red Hat is not suited for this project I think Debian should be used, no offence to RH
What the hell? tjese people are gay, first off why is their 14 year old son looking at porn in the first place? then all those games have ratings on them most of them are "M" (R) which means they have to be purchased by an adult, and movies have ratings too, so I think the lack of discipline on that kid was the parents fault, THEY bought the games and rented the movies and well, there's allways cyber nanny or smart parents that check Internet History, Temporary files, typed URL's, cookies, etc. etc. so come on if they were a little more involved in their sons life they woulda known that he was a pervert that was oviously not matture enough to handle a video game,, my opinion, i say his parents should be sued for not raising their kid right. buying him the games, taking him to the movies and not being involved more actively and restricted things that he couldnt handle. Also whn some of you feel violent streaks comming out do what i do, go to a metal head club or party or call up some of your friends and mosh, or have a deathmatch on the grass or if you have one a trapoline or osmething if the sort.
ahem
care to share the names of these statistical filters? im a bit curious

just switch to cocaine... for real. its good, good for you, and you get mad shit done...

just another reason to start using mac os X... or lets start educating people, i wonder how much resources those bad-changes make anyways....

Steve Jobs was drinkin perrier, lemon perrir and back then there was no lemon perrrier
