Well, besides noting that the FF IX info has been on IGN for at least a week, I thought I'd shed a little light on the matter of "Final" Fantasy. One popular theory is that the game represents the characters' own final adventure, as they are always attempting to save the world, how much grander can you get? In some games, the characters actually die trying, but I won't spoil it by saying which. Notice that besides the repetition of a character named "Cid," there are no cross-overs of characters as main characters. Sure, Cloud was thrown into a few games as secrets after the mega success, but he never went on another big adventure. As far as Cid goes, the character is always different anyway, being linked only to the airship, and even that changed in FF VIII. I like to think of Final Fantasy as a designation that means "Another quality Squaresoft game that they spent mucho dinero in development." I just hope they concentrate on a better storyline for 9, as 8's story was pretty bad, compared with graphically inferior Xenogears and FFTactics.
Shatner...Shatner...Oh, isn't he the guy from Unsolved Mysteries? I bet he got famous from doing that show...Kidding of course, but I don't know how often I watch NASA coin commercials.
Not only is this response totally off-topic, but you haven't even gotten your facts right. Amadou Diallo was shot 19 times, shot at41 times. Where did you get the number 46? But I agree, it is a sad day that all four "officers" were aquitted of all charges. To serve and protect indeed.
Well, if we're counting different calendars and all that jazz, wasn't the last even day 08/28/88? You know, 12 years ago? Most of us weren't y2k compliant back then...

Can anyone explain the whole 'stone' thing? It seems inexplicable. Sure, Natalie Portman turned to stone is a good thing to have, but wouldn't you rather have her in the flesh? Also, why are about 1/3 of the comments so off-topic and stupid as "Fuck-you"? Don't post stupid stuff to humorous stories. If you don't like it, scroll down. I gotta go. My computer is looking for Yeti.
Aren't people in the future going to wonder how we jumped from windows 3 to windows 95 to windows 98 to windows 2000, and everytime the number got immensely larger, and everytime the OS got more buggy?
Hey, if it turns out that people like this, then maybe each day could have a different colour. hmmmmm....it's friday, so that must mean Slashdot Brown! Or maybe the person coding the page accidentally put in the numbers for green in the red place. Remember, its RGB!
