What about ad-free issues of comics? occasionally an issue will be like that, and while they cost more, they do it, and somehow, they make money on it. Otherwise, why would they not have ads? Artistic integrity only has power when it doesn't fight the bottom line. -----------------
So maybe they should have made her look sad like this::(
It was a great movie, with wonderful CG. The plot was pretty darn good, with some characters having actual background. The general wasn't just an asshole, he actually had a reason why he hated the phantoms. Sure, Aki looked a little plastic, but I found that she was the worst looking one of the bunch. Sid (shoulda been Cid), Ryan, and Grey all looked human. Sid especially.
As far as telling us that Aki didn't quite reach "sexy", why should she? She looked real. Lara Croft isn't sexy, she's disproportionate. Please. This type of movie has never been tried before, and it was beautiful. The lip sync was completely on track, and the movie smacked of Final Fantasy-ness without being a re-hash of any one of the games. My friend may have said it best when he claimed "The only part of Final Fantasy they missed was that the movie wasn't 50 hours long!"
I miss the chocobos and mogs, but it was a great movie. -----------------
Not at all! It's more like erecting your fabulous sign, and then, 5 towns over, someone erecting a sign saying FuckJohn's, and posting your address. Sure, it's mean, but it's not directly connected to you. Also, in order to go there, you have to want to "fuck general motors" (.com). The average Ford website user won't see it, and neither will the average GM website user. URLs act as queries, not directions. If someone wants to fuckgeneralmotors(.com), then Corley suggests Ford. If people query for Ford or GM (.com), then they get what they asked for. There's nothing wrong here. Would you expect "fuckgeneralmotors.com" to consist of cars having sex with each other?
Well, since it works on color depths, then mayhaps it wouldn't need alt tags, per se, but what about a blue and a red that are equally bright? To us, who can see, they are dramatically different, but to the blind using this, they are the same. Now, if they are different links, or a picture of red on blue, the difference cannot be seen (felt), and that could ruin the appeal of this design. Any way, this is a step in the right direction, as it is A) better than nothing, and B) happily used by nearly all those in the group who tried it.
No, life is a non-zero-sum game. If I suddenly think up some majickal new invention, and sell it, others win by buying this fantastic product/service, and I win by making money on the sales. You can make life a zero-sum game if you believe that stealing is the way to obtain items, but in general, an increase in commerce helps more than it hurts, and is non-zero-sum.
Back 3 generations ago, maybe 1% of high-school graduates went on to college, and many people didn't even finish high school. Now most people finish their high school, and many more go to college. The college student, on average, has gotten stupider, mostly because college students are no longer the cream of the crop that they were.
It doesn't have to be visible, just on your person. At school here, we have ID cards that can open doors by merely being within a certain proximity of the reader. In the future, that proximity can probably be refined enough for this whole shindig, as well as making the cards small enough to be forgetable.
You say "guaranteed to work"? I just bought Chrono Cross yesterday, and for some reason, the game kept freezing up on me. Playstation games should not do that. Maybe my copy is corrupted, but still, I expect PSX games to run perfectly.
It seems that people are taking this completely out of context! No one seems to notice that the lawsuits were filed on behalf of Metallica and Dr. Dre. They have the same lawyer. Therefore, it is not the band, or the DRE to blame, but the greedy record companies. Yes, Metallica makes lots of money off of their concerts, but the record companies need record sales. And please, JonKatz, research enough to know that Dr. Dre is a person, not a group.
From what I gathered from the article, the quote by Lars destroys the whole thing:
"sickening to know that our art is being traded like a commodity rather than the art that it is."
Basically I gather that Lars, if not all of Metallica support the free distribution of their music as art, and that he does not like it being traded like a commodity, sold. Maybe we're forgetting that the people 'representing' Metallica are managers and sales people from the record company trying to make money. Metallica just wants to be popular and kick ass.
Oh yes.... I saw this when I was in teh US in November.... Problem was - I had only enough money for one game... it was Either FF Anthology of FFVIII. I had that choice, and I picked FF Anthology..and what a good choice. I later recieved FF8 for christmas, and though the graphics were better, what a crappy game! Makes me yearn for more games like FFTactics or Xenogears. Fuck graphics if the game isn't good.
Maybe you meant "dual." Wish people could spell.
Conker's Bad Fur Day? Not everything that is on N64 is family entertainment. Just the majority.

I already punt my PSX controllers. This would end up getting broken the first time I got frustrated at SFA3.

True, but they already have the AOL virus on their computer. Seriously, any program that messes with network settings, etc. is a virus in my opinion.

It's not that uncommon a name. I have a friend named "Ingrid Hahn"....

That's Lay's OS.

Actually, it's 3 words: "two thousand three." even if one incorrectly put "and" in there, it'd be 4.

should we implement things into HTML such as a nipple tag? uh-oh...

anyone know if its possible to connect a NES, SNES, or PSX controller to a PC? just an idea i've been pondering.
yeah, even worse is when I drag my hdd to the trash, and it pops out... ouch.
