First is a comment about the stability, we go through periods where we're sending core files to them every other day. So maybe that's what makes them so secure, you can't get through the firewall if it's not up.
Second point has to do with the level of support. In order to get adequate attention, it frequently requires it starting an email thread (screaming bloody murder), with our account manager cc'd.
I've extensive experience with Check Point Firewall-1 (over-priced and over-hyped) and rarely saw these types of issues.
I also have moderate experience with Fortinet devices, and that's what I'd lean towards making the choice again...
geeks and nerds are of the same aptitude, the only difference being that geeks are subtle about it and nerds want to rub it in peoples faces and are artificially high on themselves.
Frank Zappa was a geek and Miles Davis was a nerd.
There's nothing in the world like plugging your fender twin into a variac, starving the amp for juice, start jammin' away, and watching the valves melt in front of your eyes.
except maybe the sound that comes out of the amp afterwards.
I was getting valves for my amps from a supplier that purchased a russian product and added thier logo, from what I was told up until recently alot of the former soviet radar and listening installations used valves
We're still using 4.2 on a box here...the philosophy of the others is "If it ain't broke...." you get the idea...besides it's our only linux box, everything else is solaris.
...and I haven't had any problems with it what so ever. It's an older model with 4 channels, I can't think of the model# right now (I'm at work) but check out the belkin stuff.
I've got a couple of points to add.

[tongue in cheek]

Here's a company that has a solid revenue source and is closer to it's valuation.
I wonder if they're going to be buying up companies in 6 months.

It also depends on the source, if it's from a fellow geek/nerd then it's like saying..."hey, what's up buddy?"

Actually MCA kicked ass performance wise, but the stupid suits at IBM wanted too much money to liscence the tech.
GigE should be enough IBM's RS/6000 SP2's used 10Mb for quite a while.
Anyway, i am looking forward to the transmeta Crusoe chip, built using 100% Technology Stolen from Alien Spacecraft.
Actually it's taken from robots from the future that evolved from a DOD project called SkyNet.

That's 128 days (approx.) of non stop listening to MP3's...
Echelon v2.0
Good point....like the US hasn't done similar things in the past?

there are quite a few firms in NYC that produce music videos and such, try shoping around some of your work there.
If Frank Zappa were still around.....
maybe They Might Be Giants????
