Zactly, but the thing is that those people are "wrong" and thus can be safely ignored. Why? Because The Powers That Be disagree with them, therefore they MUST be wrong.
IIRC the bills have had the same people basically as long as almost everyone around has been alive. So it's not surprising that it's a bit shocking. They used to change more often I think. Now we change the designs but keep the people.
As for why Tubman was chosen it's purely because of a demand for diversity, so anyone that isn't black and female wouldn't be acceptable. Not a lot of black females to choose from.
Well that's the thing. They don't care about the rationale, but since he owned slaves they are obligated by the SJW contract to mention it to remind people that white males are the devil.
It doesn't look like it has a shoulder thing that goes up though, so it's totally safe. Also it's a black person with the gun, since it's not a white male they must be perfectly safe since we know only white males are truly dangerous.
The chances that the people that really want her on the bills and the people that AREN'T horrified by the mere thought of guns have significant overlap is unlikely
True, but they seem to be ignoring the basic functionality of their marketplace, which is where the money for all that comes from. It's like if Amazon had let their storefront stagnate 5 years ago in favor of JUST doing their special projects. I dunno. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe those are all money-making projects, but I doubt it.
I'm totally unsurprised by the assertion. I honestly wonder where the hell Valve's money goes. They must be making it hand over fist, yet they can't fix their CS even though they keep promising to and they haven't made much for new games in forever. We need to get someone to infiltrate Valve and do an expose on their inner workings.
Canonical presumably likes money. Getting Linux working on Windows will increase the number of people willing to play with it, and look! They're using Canonical's version of Linux! So if they decide to go all out they'll probably pick that one!
I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm literally just saying that people will use it as an argument regardless of the real reasons for the failure. I find it amusing how many people take it as advocacy for that viewpoint when it's, IMO, clearly not.
This. Thisthisthis. All the people whining about not liking nuclear power because it's unsafe ARE THE SAME PEOPLE ENSURING IT STAYS UNSAFE. Get over yourself, let the next gen reactors be built and your complaints practically disappear. The only reason we're still running the shitty old reactors is because you won't let us build new ones!
Indeed. Disagreement is harassment to many people these days, and an attempt at an honest conversation can easily turn someone into a shivering wreck.

It's called Tumblr. At least for the values of "Healthy" and "Positive" that he's likely solving for.

IIRC the $1000 is refundable if they decide to pull out reasonably soon.

It's not rocket surgery.
He's behind you.
Yeah, I was weirded out a bit when people started responding like I was saying that was a correct position.
I'm not trying to prove anything. I'm literally just saying that people will use it as an argument regardless of the real reasons for the failure. I find it amusing how many people take it as advocacy for that viewpoint when it's, IMO, clearly not.
Please note I'M not saying that's the case, I just said that other people would.
Because no market has ever, EVER had multiple companies fail. Ever. In all of history.
...People are gonna claim it's proof that renewables don't work.
which level of fear and paranoia protection are gonna be needed to satisfy your definition of "safe" ?
Whatever it takes to make it impractical.
Actually there's 4th gen reactor designs that dramatically reduce radiation handling as a major issue.
Waste disposal issues disappear if they're allowed to make next-gen reactors. Much less waste and much easier to store.

But think of the fish, and the land that they destroy! Hydroelectric is almost as bad as nuclear to a lot of people.
I support the ongoing development of new reactors, particularly 4th gen designs which can eliminate many, if not most, of the potential problems.
I was 27 when I wrote my first check. Literally the only thing I've used them for in my life is paying rent.
Why not just eliminate checks and cash? Move to a 100% cashless economy, then you can track everything.
