Perhaps we could make it look even funnier and try to extend the battery life of these devices... could you imagine a crowd of people with solar panel caps(sort of like those ones you are given for graduation ceremonies) all of whom have a true monocle(you know the one old rich men wear) wired to a computer. That would be cool... albeit scary, but cool.

I was still under the age 18 at the time... hehehe... not that it had any perks or anything... I just wasn't committing a thoughtcrime like the rest of you.
This was a test, but it was a test for the DEMO. With most features already implemented, it is working well for most people. My LAN has tested the new test extensively over the past couple days with at least one server running at all times. We have a full variety of processors and video cards... there is one computer that does not run it well. It runs for maybe a minute before crashing horribly each and every time. Every other computer runs it fine. I kept my Windows machine running it for two days along with mp3s. Another friend had his computer that had problems when he used Win98... he switched back to Win95 and had his server up for over three days with a full load of bots to see how many frags could be accumulated. Unfortunately, our power went out briefly and it was all lost. The last we checked, the lead bot had over 8000 frags. That was on a P2-333 with 64 megs of RAM & Velocity 440. That was definetly suprising. Well, I've rambled on and on for no apparent reason. It is ready for release in most of our opinions. I just need to figure out a way to get rid of those bots and cycle the maps.
They practice this type of business. This happened to a good friend of mine who bought a pre built computer from them. They claimed that it was a P2-333, but it was a P2-300. He went for months wondering why he was getting speeds lower than a regular P2-333 would get in benchmarks and games. Later he gets a new motherboard and finds out... oh... its a P2-300. He tried returing it, but they said that they sold it as a PC running at 333 mhz. This is a warning to those of you who live in Columbus and/or visit MicroCenter for prebuilt computers. Do not trust them. Build your own PC. You will save some money if you do it right.
I went to the same school and it started sucking pretty hard right after that Columbine shit happened. I decided to graduate early b/c of I knew I would get harassed as a person who plays violent video games often, is known to dislike most of the people in my former high school, and the fact that if I had worn my trenchcoat to school I would have scared people shitless(I like getting dressed up prim and proper occassionally). That incident was simply that, an incident. People being pushed too far. BTW. I thought Justin was suspended for a far longer period of time? You should have seen the number of cops at the prom b/c of the incident. It was pretty cool... I had a LAN party instead of going to prom, but I passed by my high school while getting some Mountain Dew.
A long long time ago, my father bought me a MD base unit and two MDWalkmen. I use my Awe64 sound card with one RCA splitter cable running out(to get stereo sound) to the base unit. I use WinAmp to play MP3s and I record them onto my base unit in this fashion. My base unit detects the differences between the tracks and automaticly splits up the tracks(it sometimes screws up and splits a track up or runs two together), but most of the time it works perfectly. If you have a Sony VIAO with the correct software and hardware, then you can do it perfectly every time(I don't have one though). I will post some more information on this when I get home to inform you guys of what model number my base unit is. I know that it was one of the first 10000 produced in the US. The serial number reflects that.
55.8 fps is the highest I have ever reached at 1024x768@32. This is with a low end machine(I still think it is decent) and with the newest drivers. This is alot higher than you listed as what we should "see" my TNT2 running at. I fully believe the GeForce will shine in all areas, especially lower end machines(ie not a P3) b/c it has something that is being called a "GPU" ever heard of that? I am living quite well with my TNT2 and I plan on keeping it in my computer until January(when I plan on getting a DDR GeForce). I just have really big problems with the benchmarks that Sharkey's ran b/c they didn't even get to the FPS(with a TNT2) that I am getting with a shitty processor(compared to their CopperMine).
The ATI card has 64 megs of RAM as opposed to the 32 on the GeForce and the TNT2. I am also having a very hard time believing those benchmarks b/c I am running a C-400(not even overclocked) with my Asus TNT2 Ultra 32mb and I'm getting better frame rates than they are posting. Approx 60 fps in Quake2 1024x768x32 opposed to what they got as approx 50 fps? They were running frigging coppermines!!! I am running the newest Asus Drivers/Bios and I highly doubt that has anything to do with it. I'll post my benchmarks with a GeForce on a affordable machine(C-400 on a BH6 with 256 mb RAM and 9.8 gig WD hd) when I get a GeForce(sometime in January). Perhaps then we will have reliable benchmarks.
I find that the re-release of the AIBO is something that I am looking forward to. It is a viable alternative to a pet. It doesn't have as high of a maintenance(you may joke about it leaving oil spots, but luckily they don't), it costs less than a pet will over time(b/c of food/vet bills vs. battery recharges+initial cost) heck I would have to pay 100 a month more to get a real pet to keep in my apartment... that is 1200 for a single year. If only I could afford an AIBO... perhaps I can talk to my father, he works for Sony.

Of course you know that Microsoft is part owner of MSNBC right??? That could be why MSNBC covered it rather quickly.
Hotmail wasn't originally run by Microsoft... they were bought out by them a while ago.
Grow some of those brain cells back and learn to type like a somewhat intelligent human.
