    Another thing to watch out for is don't get down too deep in the weeds. While it's important to go over the features and functionalities of the product, chances are the person you're taking too isn't technical enough to understand.

    I was in a similar perdicament once and found that there is a "language" barrier between management and techies. Management speaks in terms of money while we speak in terms of technology. If you can convey the issue in terms of money then he's more likely to listen.

    Perhaps "intention" isn't the right word to be using here. What the researchers are trying to correlation areas of the brain with certain tasks. The brain controls everything you do, from breathing to posting on slashdot. Therefore, if they can "map" tasks to brain activity they can "predict intent". In the grand scheme of things, it would be impossible for people to predict "intentions" unless they can make an MRI the size of a hand-held device.

    Freeware is great when you're a techie but what percentage of the population is that savvy? Not to mention that there is the perception of getting something when you pay for it. When I buy software, I expect that there's some guy in India on the other end of the phone. With freeware I'm SOL.
