IANAL, yet. However, considering this is a civil case, I would like to remind everyone that there are no questions about criminals, guilt, or public defenders. The correct terms would be defendants, liability, and expensive private lawyers. Yes, $3,000 appears to be a lot of money, and 25% of students appear to harbor some amount of guilt. However, I suspect the true story is far different. Reevaluating the numbers, 25% of students have realized that it is cheaper to pay $3,000 than to fight the **AA with a $100+per-hour lawyer.
Also, I hope that last bit at the end is a sick, sick joke. While I do not need to introduce my politics into this discussion, the purpose of law is to provide order and retribution for offenses, so as to avoid violence.
While Apple generally produces high-quality hardware, we will have to see how AppleTV fares.
The real point is "about time!" Glad to see it available after being delayed several times.
Can I tell the difference? Most certainly.
Most digital encoding saves space by eliminating things that are repetitive or outside of human hearing. Unfortunately, there are times when I can clearly tell that this data has been removed, even when the digital audio is over 160kbps.

Two Words: BIG magnet
Expose the drive to an powerful (industrial) magnetic field to realign the bits.
Cheaper than making a box to wipe drives, and easier than using any form on encryption.
Exactly to which "most recent fedora" are you referring?
You talk about poor usage of Gnome, but then are talking about upgrading to Fedora Core 5. If this is what you meant to do, please refrain in the future from comparing the latest Gentoo with the Fedora which is two releases behind.
(Yes, I have used Gentoo, and no, I am not a Fedora fanboy)
Actually, I would rather not take any pictures than take pictures I cannot use. Unless it can make a film-quality print at around 11x14", it is useless to me. Better to have 400 pictures you can use than 900 that you cannot.
The mini is a full computer. Mice (and keyboards, to some degree) are often optional to a computer.
I have several person computers without mice, and they are perfectly functional. Even when I do have a mouse, I try not to use it, as I find the keyboard much more efficient. Also, should you want a keyboard, most computer users have one left over from a previous unit, or you can get one for $5 at your local computer shop (hell, the computer shop by me will give you one for free, as long as it is not a new model).
Even better, you COULD have a system that uses no keyboards or mice. A prime example would be a computing cluster that uses PXE boot. Only the host node needs input devices. So the rest of the nodes have no keyboards, mice, monitors, CD drives, or hard drives;;; but they are STILL computers.
So, the mini is a usable device out of the box, depending on how you use it. And if you do want a keyboard/mouse, just get it! If you are buying a Mac, you probably could spare a couple bucking lying around...
Umm... I have seen this experiment and have come to a slightly different conclusion.
If I am correct, the test subject is instructed to count the number of time the baseball is thrown. While many people do not report seeing the gorilla, this seems to prove that many people don't notice because they are distracted by keeping an accurate count on the baseball. I believe a portion of the group not reporting the gorilla could be attributed to the human mind focusing on a given task, rather than observing object which are not noted as the targeted object or action.
Sure, Bill has given $25billion, but it is from an abundance of money. Considering that the remaining $25billion is more than Bill will likely be able to spend in his remaining life, the $25billion is a moot point. I believe his motivation for donating any amount at all is for public appearance and tax incentives. Yes, the $25billion has benefited many persons, but imaging what effect the other $23billion would have if donated. This still leaves Bill with $2,000,000,000 ! He still has an outrageous amount left for himself. This is totally different that a person with $1 who will gladly donate it to charity, rather than buy themselves food or clothes. (Yes, I have seen it.) Tell me, who has made the GREATER contribution?
--*knocking* Grammar Police; Open the door! I believe you mean "fewer assholes", not "less assholes." Thank you, and please speak loudly so the Telescreens can hear.

Troller cannot just be modded down. Because the user obviously did not want the address posted for security, the post should be deleted in entirety.
