I bank at bankone and safari works fine there. As do all the gecko variants. BankOne has alot of stuff that is annoying, most of all their stupid fees for using other banks ATMs but their website is great for those of us who do not want to use IE. On a similar note, my credit union's web site works with safari as well so to say that if you have a mac without IE means you can't do online banking is spreading FUD.
I totally agree. I came to that conclusion when apple came out with aqua. At first, I was all in a lather about why they didn't just make it look like os9, but then I realized that no matter how hard they tried, there would always be a little difference because of the fact that the underlying OS had different capabilities. At that point, I saw the wisdom in deciding to go with a totally different UI that was slightly similar but different. At first I was like, oh man, I like os9 better, but now when I use os9 I think it looks so dull compared to OSX.

After reading Mr. Every article all I can say is WOW. Its amazing to see how someone can look at something that happened, like the Apple situation in the mid 90s, and come away with a totally skewed view. I don't even know where to start with the bad information or misconceptions. I will however put forth one piece of information about copland that I think is germaine to this discussion. Applications in Copland, by default, only had cooperative multitasking. They could start tasks that were preemptive but those tasks could not interact with the GUI and were limited to certain parts of the API. Full preemptive multitasking was not to come to the macos until Gershwin. All I can say is "Thank God NeXT came along.

Whats wrong with BC? Is it something I missed? Which is very possible since I don't pay much attention to hollywood stuff. But I have always like billy. just my $0.00002
I don't think Apple has anything to worry about. I downloaded the theme and the little windowshade thingy and loaded it on an old NT workstation I got sittin here doing nothing. To be honest, the theme sucks. Sure it has the colors but it certainly doesn't have the feel of the apple stuff. Its still windows.

Microsoft and playboy... MonoGamy.net?
Nah, never mind, it doesnt work.
I'd recommend Delphi 6. Its a very nice IDE and anything you develop can be easily ported to LINUX using KYLIX..
GO BORLAND.
PS. I don't develop for windows anymore but I used to. I've now moved on the much lusher pastures of OS X.
