"Also, please elaborate on the massive HTML5 problems."
The fact that you're asking why HTML5 isn't usable for games just shows that you're really not familiar with either platform.
Please tell me you're not actually trying to make the case that HTML5 is usable for video game development.
Nature abhors a vacuum Lorizean. HTML5 sure isn't being ignored because it hasn't been hyped enough yet. As the other poster said, "show me Kingdom Rush written in HTML5 and I'll begin to think you're not a troll".
Name me another valid gaming platform for casual games on the web. Do sites like Kongregate use HTML5 for their games? Java? Just no.
They use Flash because for all the talk about alternatives to Flash, it's still *** BY FAR *** the best platform their is. And there are massive problems which prevent HTML5 being a valid gaming platform.
It's only one particular class of humans on earth that is waiting longer. The uneducated, the religious and the poor (which are often one and the same group) are actually having babies at an increasing rate, starting at a younger age.
The global effects of "waiting" on overall population are actually very small when measured against the overall metrics of global population. It's a big world out there. The effects on demographics and culture are actually profound though -- but they are opposite to the intent of those who wait: Populations are dumbing down precisely because the educated have decreased their rate of reproduction.
What is good for the individual family, may be fatal for the society.
It would be foolish to think that the government "wants" this for out benefit. One thing has become abundantly clear over the past decade and that is that our government(s) want power, however illicit, and they are prepared to override personal and constitutional rights at literally every turn in order to achieve that power.
While this new power may be useful in the event of a "stolen phone" one also can't help notice that it can also be used to instantly disrupt communications between entire groups of people, for whatever reason the government should deem necessary.
But who is dismissing what? There has never in the history of the world been climate-stability. The causality of *all* prior changes appears to have been dismissed.
If Zuck thinks the future of Oculus is about connecting and talking with people in virtual... And NOT firing rocket launchers at them.... Well then he's grossly mistaken about the true purpose of the Internet!
Of course, now that the NSA and Germany's equivalent can reach deep into your private online data, perhaps they *will* know exactly how much Bitcoin you have, and exactly how much you sold.
Well... Shorter lifespans does equate to faster evolution. So if one starts with the (admittedly questionable) premise that we are evolving into something better adapted to future environments then increasing our lifespan may result in humans which are less adapted to their contemporary environments.
The Nuremburg trials are the defacto case setting the record *very* clear that humans have a moral obligation to defy the rules when the rules violate natural or moral rights. Privacy has *long* been established as a natural right and is codified in the highest legal document in the nation. Ergo, the responsibility was on Mr. Snowden to come forth with the information.
That the government is appalled, mortified and furious is clear. But what is even more clear is that there was a horrific abuse of power taking place and a voice of moral conscience stepped forward at great personal risk to protect you, me and all of us.
This is a hero. He deserves the protection of the public at large. And those within the government who have neglected their responsibilities, abandoned the cause of freedom and violated our constitutional and natural rights deserve prosecution to the full extent of the law.
What is just as disheartening as the government's efforts to extradite Snowden, is the total lack of silence in terms of desire to prosecute the actual wrongdoers.
Who were they? What were their names? How high did the chain of command go? When will there be a trial? How many dozens of people (or hundreds?) will be serving 20 year sentences? THESE are the questions that need to be answered. Not whether Mr. Snowden has violated the requirements of his day job.
Serious crimes have been committed. Snowden wasn't part of them.
Right. And the only reason that the "desktop class" A7 isn't running Flash is because it's a threat to Apple's business model.
Yawn... "another HTML5 is almost there" post. Technology is either here or it's vapor. .. And it's not here.

No Flash is not terrible at all.

The poster you are referring to made a legitimate argument. Your strategy was a silly ad hominem.
I don't know what the right answer is, but between your two comments I can easily say who the winner is.
No. Nothing like nuclear fusion. This is not an energy source. It is a fuel source.
"Hint: porn"
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that most people don't like to mix their porn habits with NSA tracking.
I just felt a great disturbance in the Force. As if millions of gamers cried out in horror. And then there was silence.
Because all previous HMD's sucked, and Oculus doesn't.
You're comparing the Newton and the iPad.

How long before there's an "app for that"?
And your response was written ...without a response.
Go find work elsewhere then.
Striking just shows at they can't. Otherwise they already would have.

Just sayin'. Live longer, adapt slower.
An "egg corn" it is.

Doesn't dosing on 2000 IU of D per day stave off cancer according to 100's of studies?
Didn't you know?

John Corzine stole a billion dollars and walked away without a trial.
The government of Cyprus stole money from people's bank accounts.
HSBC openly laundered money for Mexican drug cartels, and admitted to it. But no charges were pressed, as HSBC is too big to fail.
You could keep giving examples like the ones above for hours on end.
"Crime" is a very selective word these days indeed...
Not strange at all. Marissa Mayer isn't capable of doing much besides making overpriced acquisitions and hires.
Here's (yet another) social blogging platform with no clear revenue model.
I'm no forensic expert, but wouldn't tooth decay continue after death? How are posthumous cavities differentiated from cavities formed during life?
