The kind of moron who'd prefer to have big corporations blowing away individual websites whose content can be reposted anonymously than to have it such high liability to be an ISP that no-one can afford it? I know I'd prefer to be able to pay $5/month to have my simple website hosted than have to pay $50/month to cover the ISP's insurance in case someone posts a pop song on their personal site.
Pardon my legal ignorance, but isn't perjury a criminal rather than civil offense? Or at the very least, up to the state to prosecute rather than up to the individual?
Only criminals would want to use analogue video equipment. When analogue video equipment is illegal, only criminals will have analogue video equipment.
The comparison's stupid in the first place. We're talking about a human weighing close to 100kg, vs a bird weighting a few hundred grams at most. It's like saying that a 1/8th scale Tamiya R/C truck has a power-to-weight ratio and fuel economy 100x better than that of a Jeep. Of course it does, it's a foot and a friggin' half long. ><
(-1, Pedantic), I know, but hybrid drive systems are only more efficient in very specific conditions (wildly fluctuating load, power source that is substantially more efficient when running at full throttle than at part throttle). In any other situation they're a net loss, and even in ideal circumstances the gains available directly from non-plugin hybrid systems aren't that impressive.
For an endurance flight a well tuned Diesel cycle engine would probably be the pick of choice. Well, that or one powered by bugs and breadcrumbs.
If you're 'blindsided' by the person in front of you hitting their brakes, then either you're tailgating them or you're fiddling with the radio. Drive at the appropriate following distance based on your reaction time and car's braking ability, and pay f**king attention.
Of course, that last bit would probably solve the problem on its own so I guess we can discount it as an option.:/
I've never understood this - people are perfectly happy to accept "human error" or "mechanical failure" as inevitable, but the moment there's a remote chance of a computer screwup they're terrified, even if it's far less likely to happen than either of the others.
Maybe it's because in the case of human error, the human who made the error probably died in the crash...
I wonder what the probability is of an event occurring which would require the flexible, though less precise, ability of the Surgeon versus the increased success afforded by the inflexible, but precise, machines.
It sounds to me like in this situation, the machine is more flexible than the surgeon.
Interesting. So we can therefore deduce that Cray CX1s may potentially be used as personal floatation devices... possibly a useful feature given the recent weather conditions in certain parts of America.
(And in my last post, obviously I meant "very slightly over a quarter":P )
I keep trying to explain that I need six pints of beer and some packets of salted peanuts (muscle relaxant and extra protein, OBVIOUSLY) but no-one at work understands...
We're talking about the context of someone passing border security. Whether or not they stored their holiday photos on a DvD buried on a remote beach with a treasure map to lead them to it... that's way out of scope.
Lots of backup systems do local backup to allow for versioning, data recovery after accidental deletion etc. I think it's pretty obvious that that's what the G^8P was referring to.
Wait, Jesus was a lesbian?

Anatomii? Is that, like, multiple anatomuses?
Yeah, like those bumblebees that actually can't fly, and wouldn't if anyone would be so kind as to tell them what they do every day is impossible... ;)

These words may well be fabricated but they're spelled correctly, that's for sure!
Only one tube? That's oldskool!

Sounds like my mum when I'm driving. Thank god my wife actually likes it when the car gets sideways... ;)
If you could only pass that memo on to the other 99.99% of the human race as well, I'd be most exceedingly grateful. :)
IT'S A TRAP!
You may be. Sounds like the GP isn't... or won't be once he runs out of peanut butter, choc milk and Mountain Dew. :)

That's very slightly a quarter of a hogshead, assuming the whole thing is roughly as dense as water.
Oh. *smacks head* I c wot u did thar.
;) Also that bank ad was slightly before my time.
In my defense I was kinda slightly quite drunk at the time.
Generally airing your clients' dirty laundry in public is a great way to not get re-hired (or to get sued for breach of confidentiality). Just sayin.
Shouldn't be hard and will achieve the same thing.
What's that, watching people download porn or blag stuff to Facebook?
You should never use one of these for anything serious anyway, you can get root on one of them by scratching its belly and rubbing its ears.
Why is this downrated? It's a tried and tested method!
