from its last controversial decision: to add auto-playing videos, complete with unmuteable audio, while browsing through Netflix content.
I've actually turned off my android-tv and did something else because of that one.
When I'm trying to browse and read and decide what I'm going to watch, if anything, having anything I'm looking at suddenly start playing is the quickest way to get me to browse to something else or to turn the whole thing off in disgust.
Another nice feature is that you can set the Nvidia Shield to handle volume control internally so that things like using projectors and bluetooth speakers that don't understand volume control commands over HDMI can still have their volume controlled directly via the Nvidia Shield.
I also got a second game controller and the tv remove as well. I put it to sleep, my projector goes to sleep automatically. I hit the center button on the remote and it all "just wakes up" and is ready to go.
Oh, and no batteries for the remote or game controllers... all usb rechargable.
I got an NVidia Shield with the 500GB HD expansion. Couldn't be happier. Expandable. I can write software if I wanted with no issues. Comes with Amazon Prime, Vudu, and a host of other options. If I remember correctly it is also 4K ready!
I can tell you from direct experience that eating high-carb caused by A1C to skyrocket and my my liver enzymes and cholesterol levels to go off the chart... Then the gradual but sure weight gain.
Switched to "ketogenic" and intake is mostly fat, with moderate protein, and carbs 20g on a daily average and I've went from 270 lbs (42in waist) to just under 210 lbs (38in waist), my A1C reads "ideal" instead of diabetic, and I don't have issues with high and low blood sugar episodes and don't feel like I'm going to feint from long periods of not eating. And my Dr doesn't look like he's about to fall out when reading my cholesterol level test. My joints also hurt less.
This is over 9 months.
Note, when it comes to "low-carb" foods sold in the store, the manufacturers have taken to making them high-protein, with a reduction in fat, which, when you get too much protein (or in the case of Atkins, putting pasta in them!), I understand that your body turns excess protein into sugar when not needed, so too much protein can also contribute, though not as badly, to the general carbohydrate overdose that is deployed in our generally available food stuffs.
Did you know that HIV transmission can be prevented with a pill?
Would it not be a good thing to HALT the spread of HIV (or at least slow its spread to below the threshold for it to remain in the population long term)?
Sort of like the effort put into to stopping smallpox and making polio rare?
Truvada PrEP is estimated to be greater than 99% effective.
Across the US border it costs about $70. But here? Something like $4,000+, unless your insurance covers it, then $600+.
Putting two generic medicines into a single pill warrants x50 price increase and a patent to cover that?
I wonder how much things like "35+ miles to nearest doctor or pharmacy approved by government approved healthcare" factors in?
Especially for those with any type of transportation challenges.
How long before this intestinal alkaline phosphatase (IAP) stuff comes as pills or a liquid in the herbs in bottles section of the store?
The aspartame being potentially bad for you isn't the interesting part.
This is the interesting part:... fed IAP directly to mice, who were also on a high-fat diet. It turned out that the IAP could effectively prevent the emergence of the metabolic syndrome. It also helped relieve symptoms in animals that were already suffering from the obesity-related illness.
Wrong. MOST pre-packaged meats contain different kinds of added sugar. If it is a muscle meat and the label says "carbs > 0" it most likely has had a sugar or sugar analogue under a pseudonym added.
Uh.... 100% of the us population does not live with walking distance of all this free Internet. I for one live 20 minutes from the nearest grocery store... etc.
Why do I have flashbacks to forced sterilizations which occurred in the US to those considered "genetically inferior" aka Native Americans and Negroids.
And as far as the drag queens' complaints, Facebook does in fact 0provide mechanisms, separate from individual pages, for promoting your stage name, band, business, or whatever else you consider your brand. So that is also a stupid non-issue.
You comments do not address the issue where people's real names are flagged as fake.
It's bad enough that official organizations like the census bureau *change* reported demographics and names while doing their surveys, and other official organizations do other similar things without having particular ethnic groups getting singled out because their names are not Western European.
Please get better informed: Here are three of links to get started off with...
This is a serious issue for many Native Americans and has been repeatedly "Facebooked" about over and over with little to no effect. Because many Native Americans do not have European names they get their accounts locked out. This is easily exploited by those who actively engage in harming Native Americans and others they do not like because of race.
Anything divided by zero is by definition infinity. Not zero. I definitely do NOT want your default anywhere near me.
If you can't represent the division by zero as infinity or handle otherwise as a special case that does NOT result in any numeric value the program should CRASH or THROW AN EXCEPTION. Period.

And yes.. VLC works just fine... along with Mupen64 and all the rest of the standard Android goodies....

You can get corn this way, especially good for corn bread, at the store. It's called "Masa Flour"

You don't have enough $ next the satellites with their tiny data plans and cost overages.
Preventing competition via laws/government/regulations is not a free market. It is Mercantilism/Corporitism.
We don't have capatilism here, we have a Mercantilistic flavour of Corportism. Followers of true capatilism with open competition need not apply.
Not anymore! You can't tell everyone about your free access and expect it to stay that way!
How does this compare to 3d-xpoint stuff?
It's NOT cheap. Seems rather Windows Centric.

Pull the hard disk and USB connect it to the target machine ...
The USB thingies are like dirt cheap ...
Man in moon? I have never easily seen an "man in the moon" ... now a "Rabbit in the Moon" I see all the time ...
