  1. Ebay, of course. on Updated Information On Columbia Shuttle Tragedy · · Score: 1

Why am I not surprised? Althought it is against my better judgement to provide publicity for this crap, here is auction for space shuttle debris on Ebay: Item 3205242574. (note: it seems this item is still "pending", and no description is available...) Affordable at 10 grand?
Sigh. You too can search ebay for "space shuttle". heh.

Not what I want to see. Clearly, I would not trust automated weapon systems. I do not trust people either, but that's just the status quo.

  4. What was said on SDMI *NOT* Cracked!? · · Score: 1

Well, what do you expect the higher-ups at the SDMI to say? "Yep, it's all over folks, we're going home!"
That seems hardly likely. Instead, this will be dragged out as long as possible by denying, hiding "evidence", and downright lying whenever possible. They know an anonymous source will always raise doubts, so as long as it is unconfirmed (and no one is willing to come forward -- which would be professional suicide), they're home free... Besdies, if they really want to continue, they can always they they "have no record" of the successful crack methods that Salon claims. It's just that easy...
They would have plenty of possible reasons to deny everything, not the least of which is that once they fail they may or may not be paid to keep going on the same track...
Of course, that is just IMHO. Take with a grain of salt.
    Peace!

I quite agree... The only real way (and most annoying) is to drop individual bandwidth. Of course, then many people will collaborate to download something they all want...
Well, hopefully for us all, it will take a while for this bandwidth-limiting policy to actually come into effect. Although knowing the Nazis that run my university (no offense... actually, screw it! take offense!!!), I will likely be first to lose my bandwidth. And then, no counter-strike! ;-)

  10. Mmmm, cheap cola! on Coca Cola Supply and Demand · · Score: 1

You know, this is not so much a bad thing as it is a good thing (if you're inventive, that is). Instead of paying full price for your cola, you could theoretically find the temperature sensor (which has to be more or less close to the outside of the machine, so it's not near the cooling unit, and on the front) and spray it with something like a compressed air can (freezing it if you do it right). Hey, the temp just dropped to 29F! Cheap cola for all!!!

  11. Original vs. Disney on Movie Review: Princess Mononoke · · Score: 2

I certainly hope that the dubbed version was not ruined by Disney (as they have been known to turn originbal works into trash). I saw the movie with subtitles, and personally quite enjoyed it. I think the foreign language (the way it sounds as oppiosed to what it says, when you can't understand it) is an integral part of the film. I wonder if the dubbed version is really worth seeing... Although the film itself is spectacular!!!
