Your 02c worth is definitely 02c worth... Letting a hacker and poor customer service who don't know a function from a variable keep you from playing some of the best quality games ever is a sad thing to see. There are a ton of companies out there (EA for one), who create games and then forget about them. Or they create patches that don't do anything but solve a few problems but create so much more. I'd highly recommend giving Valve another shot at it. They provide quality updates for their products (TF2 and L4D receive huge in game updates a few times a year). I'd give you my 2 cents worth but I spent it on HL for $1 on steam...

I've seen this done on a few other websites as well... wowhead.com (World of Warcraft db) ran a contest where you had to find where 5 different pictures were located on the site. It wasn't the best contest as the name of the file name was the exact same that they used for the caption as the filename for the page. So what people ended up doing was caching the whole site and just doing a quick search for where file name *******.jpg was located at.

That and we didn't get a search feature for the ipod. The screen alone isn't all that impressive, the only upgrade that they did add that was worth mentioning was better battery life. I agree, and hopefully the ZUNE will eventually turn into that killer, then instead of buying new ipods ever other year i'll be buying a Zune + an iPod EVERYyear to get the latest

  7. Great move for both iPod users and other users on Details of Next Gen Zune Surface · · Score: 3, Insightful

Microsoft Zune may not be quite up to the iPod standard but it's getting there. One of the good things about having microsoft join the mp3 player wars is that it will make iPod come out with better updates to their ipod (the 5.5gen ipod was a little weak in the upgrade features). That and with the music copyprotecting systems getting lifted off itunes there is going to be some big changes happening with mp3 players in the future. The competition will make both of their products better.

  8. Agreed! on Elite Won't Replace Premium or Core Skus · · Score: 1

I agree with the comment that was quoted. Microsoft would have done a lot better making this Elite edition use either blu-ray or use the HD Drive. Allow it to play HDdvds or Blu-rays would have been reason to buying the elite edition. Even though they do have the HD drive you can install, but not everyone wants to go to the hastle to install extra stuff.

Agreed! I never thought about looking at the 360 in comparison to the iTV. When you look at it that way the 360 is the best media center out there.

  10. Batman would be impressed! let down to others on Xbox 360 Elite Officially Announced · · Score: 1

While releasing a Xbox 360 Elite is a great idea, I feel that it's too early for it to come out. If you look at the extra add-ons you get an extra 100GB on your hard drive which will eventually be "must have" for serious Xbox players (Oblivion's expansion pack requires close to 1GB of space). The HDMI cables aren't a big deal to me (and probably a large percentage of 360 ownners) since I don't have a HDTV yet. While releasing an Xbox with HDMI cables is a great idea, the major addition that seems to be lacking from the Elite pack is the HD Drive. If you're going to release an "Elite" Xbox, shouldn't you have all the main accessories? It seems as if Microsoft decided not to include the drive due to cost reasons. I feel that they should have waited until they were able to produce the HD Elite version at a cheaper price and include the HD Drive in it. They tried to embrace the HD market, but excluding the HD drive from this edition might hurt them.
