I think it's a good idea to encourage critical thinking in the sciences. Most kids take what they're told without judging it. However, you should be teaching critical thinking in regard to both sides of these arguments or none at all.
I don't know how many people are, but I'm color deficient. For me reds stand out little more than browns, but blues stick out moreso. So the answer is to make more people color deficient.
I came to a similar realization around my fifth year of high school. I had coasted through grade school getting A's and the occasional B. However, when I started high school and started a new system, which relied entirely on self-motivation (online home schooling), I failed to put any effort in. Subsequently my grades plummeted and I ended up getting a GED rather than a diploma.
I had always known that I was "smart" but it was only then that I knew that everyone was essentially "smart" and it all came down to the effort you put in. So I started college armed with this perspective and I feel pretty good about my direction.

I was just thinking about that when I read this. Oh well.
I made a map based on my home and started one based on my church. I guess I'm using them to train for when I shoot up the places.
