Why should a government agency be concerned with what I'm watching on TV, or doing on the internet (oh wait...)?
Take responsibility for your kids and what they watch/do on the TV and internet. Its people like you that pass and support laws that strip everyone else's rights by saying "but think of the children!" You know what? Fuck the children. I grew up just fine without some politician screaming that the children are in danger, and that we need to lose rights and pass ridiculous laws so that 'children can be safe.' Fuck that. I used to be out with my friends, and was told to come home when the street lights came on. I used to be forced outside (god forbid), and forced to do something on my own. And because of that, I consider myself a much better person than the generation thats coming up behind me, and guess what? I'm not alone in how I feel either.
So do this: grow some balls, and be an active father figure in your kids life. If your kid finds a site on the internet where a horse fucks a person, than make sure your kids know that they can talk to you about it. Than you can be the active father figure and tell them what you feel about the subject, and let them come to their own conclusions on how they feel. The key word is 'active' - be active in their life. Numerous studies have shown that kids do a fuck load better in life if they have an active father figure - not some pussy who hides their kids behind a net filter.
I thought we voted for our representatives/senators to vote for laws that improve the U.S. of A... not try and remove a federal judge from office just because he rules that something as unconstitutional...
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to believe it's wrong until 1) I see the RIAA and the MPAA back down off their soap box and stop their useless court procedings, 2) lower the price of said CDs and DVDs, and 3) stop lobbying congress to help them get more money. Until they change at least those methods, then I'm fairly sure that there will be more people who follow the same thought.
It's really sad that this nation has come to this. The US has never had a decent congress ever since the mid 60's at the latest; most of the representatives and senators are corrupt, doing everything in their power to remain in office, and not getting a damn thing done.
Me and my girlfriend are sick of this bullshit. I used to believe that congress was there "for the good of the country," and all that bullshit. Now, congress is "how much money can I make on top of my already ridiculous income?" We've both given up on this country, and we are moving as soon as we can afford to.

It could be that the copper mesh is passive jamming, whereas the jammer itself is active. That could be why. Then again, I still get reception in the theater, so it probably doesn't work on all phones/makes/services, etc.
It's not illegal downloading of music, because it doesn't violate any copyright claims. Simple as that. But this piece of shit organization (AKA the music industry) is lying through their teeth when they say they are losing all their sales to pirates. Yeah, I'll let them say they are losing some sales, but not all. If they get with the times, and realize that people only want one or two songs off of a usually crappy CD, then they would price the CDs accordingly, and they probably would see an increase in sales.

The only thing that could and should really protect children are parents - you know, the people that look after and raise a child?
But no, in todays world, 'parents' are people completely unassociated with the actual parents, and come in the forms of TV, salespeople having to ask for ID, and video games, provided the parent even so much as glances at the ESRB rating, which they probably don't... so they complain and bitch more.
I want to live in a world where the rules state that: you can't do this or that until you've come of age (driving and drinking - just examples, not to be done both at the same time); your mom and dad look after you, and only have a babysitter when they need it (dates, alone time, etc); politician won't tell me how the FUCK I raise my child.
