What is it other than bug fixes and a few "features" added on top of it, like IE5.0 and "better usb support," which screams big fix. And yes you can upgrade it. Just replace the appropriate dll's, reg-keys, etc. and your laughing. It's how they upgrade windows with office and visual studio releases. I've fought with it more than once.

I disagree. I think it would make alot of people think twice. For things like date or gang rape I think alot of people would think twice about it. If if even saves one person from rape then it's worth it. Or, since it's the general consensus that rape is worse than murder who not just make it punishable by capital punishment? That takes care of the CONTROL argument.

  9. Subtle MS FUD, but still FUD. on Slate Takes on Linux · · Score: 2

This is a very subtle article of MS FUD. For instance. They embrace linux as little, agree
with almost what everyone else has said about linux. Stable, good for a server, not so hot for a desktop. They they relegate it to the domain of "Geek Love." They are basically telling people yes it's good, BUT it's only for hackers, geeks and enthusiasts. Of course they don't come right out and say that but it's the underlying theme. It jsut spreads very subtle FUD.

Read the article. It says they used IBM's BD2

ORACLE vs IBM. Also, IBM used a 32 node cluster
of their netfinity and db2 servers to accomplish
    this.

Quote: "32-node configuration used in this benchmark" IT used GigaNet's cLAN DB2 and IBM's serial storage Architecture.

Each Netfinity server has 4 Xeon processors each with 2MB onchip cache. In total that's 128 with 64 megs of on chip cache.

Oracle's machine used only 64 processors.

    IBM DIDN'T WIN.

nice for some of these articles to mention the
other people that work steadyfastly on the Linux
