Now...not to knock on the door of progress or achievements but you're telling me that the greatest news the PS3 has under it's belt is that it reached a milestone in Distributesd Computing. Me? If that's all a 600$ console can do well right now...I'd feel ripped off!
True but the Dreamcast was a system that had the potential to reach levels of popularity that Sony and Microsoft now have with their systems but it suffered the same problem that the PS3 is now suffering....a sore lack of direction and poor marketing. Otherwise, you are right...I will never get rid of mine either because the games on it were splendid.
Don't get me wrong...from what I've seen and played in Heavenly Sword, the game is freaking cool (the titles it reminded me of are all games that have a special place in my library..) but unlike all the other ones, this one was done and over with quicker than I could blink! Mebe game pricing should be related to it's length because paying 60 bucks for that would have made me feel ripped off at the end!
Having said that...the PS3 has TONS of potential and a massive amount of staying power. But when you look at how Sony is reigning it in, you quickly make comparisons that equate to giving a professional grade movie camera to someone who barely knows how to use it...a somewhat decent yet lacking result at best.
Now, don't get me wrong...if the PS3 manages to avoid being the DreamCast part 2, I will gladly invest in one. At this time though, I just can't warrant it. Rather get a Wii so I can finally play the Lightsabre game!
did you read my post?
"Let me Count the number of games..."
I was counting...COUNTING! Halo 3 is just one of them...well...the closest one to this time anyways.
Will this save the PS3? Consider that Heavenly Sword was supposed to be a console seller...it turned out to be a 5 hours affair with 2 hours of cutscenes and gameplay that made me think of God of War, Dynasty Warriors and Ninety-Nine Nights....'cept with a much prettier lead character.
If I was Sony right now, I'd worry more about the driness of the system's game library rather than the cool new features avialable for the system. In the mean time, let me itterate the games that are gonna makes owning a 360 sooo sweet...*Drools over Halo 3 adverts..*
Hypocrite? Jack? Nawwwww....surely you Jest! I mean...minors can get into R rated movies all the time or obtain pR0n from the internet or go to school where bullying is a rampant problem. But them damn video games...that's what's driving today's youth to crime.
Hoax or not...hell, one step above, Troll or not...i agree with the general concensus of 'If you are doing Online Shopping from an Internet Café, you are a walking PEBKAC.'
See...there is one flaw in the argument that the phone was off but still recieving e-mail. It was not off. After having RTFA and digging around and reading the Iphone's manual, it is clearly stated that what the user did was put the phone on Standby which effectively locks the screen but does not...(read: NOT) deactivate the phone's transmissions.
Now...I'm gonna chalk up this article as a PEBKAC and plunk it down with the reports of 'Apple misleading on replacement of Battery' because all it amounts to is anti-appleism. The guy will still Sue Apple and AT&T because in the good ol' U S of A, no one assumes responsibility for their mistakes and eff-ups. (Hell, everyone is still trying to figure out how Dubbya Term 2 happened...)
Next up, Man slips on bar of soap...sues soap maker for not posting warning label of soap's sliperiness (SP?).
I don't get it...
I expect stuff like this from Newspapers....but/. ?
Maybe I'm missing something but are articles weighted on how may people click on them?
I live in Canada but have the pleasure of knowing people in the US and living in a city that is trying desperately to emulate the US...(Toronto) You're one of the lucky ones. for every person that is in your position, you can easilly find a good two dozen people who barely make ends-meat and (In the US' case) can't afford health care.
I work for one of the Big 5 Banks up here and am in the same position as you are. But you and I both know that the bottom line is so important that we may walk in to work one morning and find out that our cushy jobs were outsourced to some Indian, Minimum wage, High School educated yoho over in Bangalore.
In our world, Job Security does NOT exist. We are all replaceable and unless you are Corporate...you're just another peon.
This logic is equally true, whether A is murder, marijuana smoking, speeding, or, indeed, copying/sharing somebody else's works. Now...I'm no expert in Laws here but...Since when has Marijuana Smoking and Copying/Sharing ever been ranked with Murder or Speeding (which could very well kill someone.)
Based on the above quote, your logic of what is right and wrong seem a little skewered, IMNSHO.
That is the big issue here and what royaly pisses me right off with this entire subject. the MAFIAA has brainwashed people into thinking that File Sharing/Copying should be punished with the Death Penalty and Have a Nice Day!

You, sir, are sick and demented. People like you need to be banned from the internet due to serious lack of A) Common Sense, B)Decency, C)Morals or D) All of the above.

Tell us the truth, you did not RTFA, did you. Had you done so, you would have noticed that the user did NOT turn off the phone, he put it on standby.
