    I'd rather have the solidity of a Gold system that can not destroy people's savings via rampant running of the printing presses.

    How would it stop that? The Government can just change the exchange rate of their currency to gold whenever they feel. Which is what governments on gold standards have done.

    Ownership of half an ounce of gold will buy 1 suit, whether its 2010 or 1910 or 1810. Gold has a fixed value. Paper does not.

    Fixed value? Since when? Gold has had numerous booms and busts in its value.

    But Ron Paul does not advocate return to pure gold standard, he advocates allowing competing currencies, some backed by gold, other by silver, third by "trust in US Government", and letting people/markets decide which one do they prefer.

    Because multiple competing currencies worked so great during the Articles of Confederation days, right? Oh wait, it was an abysmal failure.

    Yeah, let's all be running continuously changed alpha quality code because only idiotic dinosaurs want to stick with stable, tested code instead. Oh and while we are at it let's rewrite all code that doesn't use a programming language that is older than 6 months.     O rly? They even have knowledge base articles about issues related to performance and corruption of hte SQLite file that stores bookmarks. So, no, he was not whining about something that didn't exist as a simple Google search would show you more examples.

    No. Nowhere is it said to be illegal by Microsoft or anyone else. Microsoft's statement comes from rules of the International Trademark Association for the prevention of your trademark from being diluted.

    Actually the last stable release was 2 years ago. Then you need to add the addition 19 years of development that preceded that. So why exactly do you think we should not expect more from something that has been in perpetual development for 21 years?

    Because I never see Comcast commercials on my Charter Comm network or AT&T commercials for broadband.

    Those are national ads that were paid and broadcast from the networks not from the cable provider, numbnuts. Nothing stops your local provider from replacing those with local ads to block them.

    Yep the shitty quality of the code and the JVM do that perfectly fine on their own. If the game actually had flash graphics on top of that clusterfuck it would probably kill even the longest battery life laptops in minutes.
