Hahahah. Man controlling the weather. That's priceless. There is no way humans could ever have any effect on such a large and complex system.
I can understand the point if it's to save time and money for other things, but if they are going to find a solution to the problem and time/money is already spent, then that is completely wasted if it isn't utilized.
Patch and next version are different things. They fix the hole but don't release a patch. The fix is released in the next version.
..an old one, I am always glad I never bothered to learn the original technology in the first place. In a few years, when something comes along to replace JavaFX, I'll be glad I didn't waste any time learning JavaFX.

I didn't realize microsoft developers were real people and might have real feelings. Maybe we should cut them some slack.
When I switched from a salaried employee to a contractor, I also got a fraction of my salary. The fraction was 3/2.
I put Red Hat Enterprise 3 on a laptop recently that used to have Red Hat 7 on it. Not surprisingly, the battery drained faster. Performed worse too.
