Wow, I was just about to post a similar comment about SnowCrash and the CIC. Actually, I was thinking of start a web venture that does the same thing as the CIC, and seeing that this company really doesnt do the same thing, I still might. The big difference it looks like is that this company is primarily like questionexchange and such. People ask questions,etc.. and get paid if someone buys it. Primarily in the computer sector. The CIC in Snowcrash delt in literally all forms of information, but primarily in 'intel' in the sense of CIA type intelligence.

Thats not true at all. One of the main reasons companies incorporate is so the owners cant be held legally liable for anything. Once you incorporate your company can only be held liable for its assets. The officers of the company cant be held accountable for anything the company does. You could sew the company for millions, if they didnt have it, it wouldnt effect the underaged (or anyones) owners credit or anything. Same thing with deals, the corporation is its own entity fully cable of making deals, it acts sorta as an adult. The officer could be 2 years old, doesnt matter.
Only recently have lawsuits tried to whole officers of companies accountable. I seem to remember one about an air plane crash, and the company officials were aware of the defect. This was a case of death though, not financial damage.

Thats just what I wanted to do. I attend alot of the local conferences, and although they say you must be 18, they always allow me in. Comdex's response suprises me. The reason the have this age limit is so they dont get parents bringing there kids and letting them run around. These conferences must remain at a certain level or professionalism. But exceptions should certainly be made for young entrepenuers that have a legitamate reason for being there.
I will be attending Supercomputing 99 in portland and ITEC. Any other slashdotters going to be at either one of those?

People had comments all over about how its probably some lame script kiddie, etc.., you really should go off saying such things that you dont know to be true, watch the show, then you can rant on how lame the person is.

Actually, the hacker is a friend of mine named Mantis, from the famed Parse hack/phreak tv show broadcast over the Pseudo Network. He is very skilled, and lectured at SpookTech and demonstrated techniques to government officials. So you can knock on mtv all they want, on the quality of the show, but the hacker knows his shit. He isnt someone who just learned about BO2K or something and installed it. They found him through New York Times article on him and Shamrock's lecture at SpookTech. MTV reads the news also.
To tell the truth though, dont exspect anything extravagent. Mantis felt kinda nervous with a MTV camera man following him around all day, so he didnt do anything besides typing 'ls' and 'cd' on his unix machine all day. The show is actually already online in realvideo, I will post a url later if someone doesnt beat me to it.
