    then you become a so called 'hacker' user trying
    to break into your own money

    Linux has not a correct DMA timing behavior to be used as a music machine. ive tried it a LOT of times. And the worst part is that EXT3 does not help in linear recording. you need HUGE amounts of ram to make the hard drive to behave for recording multichannel I still think there are some issues inside the kernel who can be replaced to ensure better task switching proficiency Application mostly are made in GKT which means slow frame refresh and thats like using cooledit or smething like that. There are NO CONSOLE recording tools for multritrac as it would be an WAVELAB 3.. I would prefer Solaris or BSD along the way. BSD Slices work a lot better to recording heavy tracks but the audio interface is still buggy which means you can hang the BSD in the middle of a process. I still use some quite antique Os to do the dirty work.

    LYNX. then you might have wget for some ultra security web servers to excange data betwen app servers, java servlets or .net but it still is not usable for busy programmers then you might have the SSI support and some other great software for the web

    it is unconstitutional becuse its related to the military right but there could be many legal arguments against it which could be enough to change that bushs try to mess with our asses, ill read it for about three days until i have some points over its legality

    I think the trouble involved in the commers of software is killing mostly the time needed to innovate. here we have not seen any of the electronic commerce benefits... but we have paid so mucho in software but most of the software is cheap and unfunctional. thats were open source gains space, because open source means. "if you dont like it make it by yourself su.kr"

    My point is that if i had to choose a laptop for my son i can choose some powerful one for the same price. The only thing that differs in this new laptops is that there is no standard hardware involved. Maybe this is an intent to make child-proof computers what do you think. There will not be any free technology for kids nor for anybody sir i just dont take that.
