Also, I keep portable versions of several programs on my flash drive, so if there's a computer handy I can show the program in question without even having to install it on their computer.
Just watch out for people like my stepdad who will persecute you for using anything but what's already installed on the computer (PortableApps included).
my boss has a dell running with a high-end intel core 2 duo (3ghz, i believe), 4gb ram, and ati x1k. it is a cheetah among computers, and vista makes it run like an oversized snail making its way across fields of molasses.
Er... Nvidia has pretty awesome 3D support, at least on ubuntu where I run it. It may not be open, but heck, it's pretty darn good. After all, you don't see open video drivers for Windows (at least I don't..).
I'm not saying that the UID matters... but just look at the mod my comment got... had i been of a low UID, i'd have been modded up for being funny. or was it just that i suck at humor? whatever it is, UID has got to play some part in it, right or not.
... all those Led Zep CD's I bought? Weren't those digital already? If you wanna talk about selling the music as m4a, I can understand, but that's no less digital than the Complete Studio Recordings Box Set.

Sure, having better relationships will make you happier. Think about it. The essence of a good relationship is happiness, right? So the better the relationship, the happier you'll be.
The one thing that gets me about your post, though, is that you seem unwilling to accept women as real people, instead resorting to easy answers like a psychiatrist, or a For Dummies book. The answer is not that simple. You have to treat it as such.
