I don't think the space elevator is a solid idea though. from my understanding, and please feel free to correct me, to make one you would need something like carbon fiber tubes or wire? i remember reading on ideas on how to make them. it seemed to me the biggest danger was something severing the wire and having it fall back to earth ( or so the article said). have they made any steps in a positive direction or have the launched any new ideas?

A watch is a piece of jewelry you wear every day...functional jewelry, but jewelry just the same. Guys don't generally get to wear as much 'bling' as women, so you need to make what you do wear, count.
If you're not a broke college student...the grow up a bit, and spend a little cash and get something that is NICE, and makes you look more like an adult.
If not just for women (and yes, the DO notice things like watches and shoes)...do it to look a little professional in your work....that matters too.
Try to dress somewhat sharp, and develop those communication skills...it will often take you further than just sheer tech genius alone.

Yes it is. It cleans windows...... right off your hard drive. Then your PC will actually work without having to scan it for virii and spyware every boot. then again after your trail edition of "X" antivirus expires you have to find another solution.

then what if someone developed malicouse software to read the waves and installed it on a pc? the device has a backdoor that sends waves on a different wave and all your info is now someone elses. to many problems are around this.

if it was accomplished what if your information leaked? soemone signed you up for alot of questionable sites and your ID was trashed. then you have to take the time to rebuild and correct all that information.
This "IP" argument could be good for money though. if they could push it hard enough and say so and so made thousands we want X$ for what you have done.

actually mandriva does this. under its rpm gui, when you go to install anything it will show you the needed dependants and if they need to be installed it will tell you to "put in disc 2". put in the disc and you dont even click anything, it finds it on the disc.
my wife who is not computer literate at ALL enjoys linux now.
i myself preffer the CLI
it just seems easier and i can accomplish more than clicking on little pictures.
next thing you know they are going to try to sue mozilla for blocking the ads with its adblock add-on. this also could just be a way to get their name in the news for publicity. any attention is good attention
