Silent PC Review catering to the gamer/overclocker/max performance crowd?? Are we visiting the same website??
There's an entire forum on that site dedicated to green and eco friendly computing. There are also recommendations to use slower but quieter 5400 RPM WD Green drives and notebook drives on desktops. That's hardly max performance.
There are also plenty of threads about underclocking and undervolting processors to save power and heat.
Huh? It's probably debatable whether it should take the #1 spot but I think most people would agree it deserves a place in the top 10.
I'm glad to see Valkyria Chronicles make the list though. Definitely the best PS3 game this year that nobody played.
My experience is the opposite. I discovered adblock and never looked back at Privoxy.
The user friendliness differences are just staggering. Adblock is a one click install affair while you have to edit text based configuration files for Privoxy.
There's no prepaid data plan for Tmobile so that won't work. It's a real bummer as I'm on Tmo prepaid and would have loved to get the G1 unsubsidized but the lack of data pretty much renders the phone useless.
You've just proved my point. All those instances are pre expansion and the items are worthless. The maximum number of people in a raid going forward is 25.
Don't news agencies prepare stories before it happens so they can be published quickly? There was that article about Steve Jobs' demise which obviously did not happen.
I'm not familiar with AppleScript but that doesn't sound like it requires physical access to me. Can't you SSH or remote desktop into an OS X server and run that command to get root access?
That seems like a serious vulnerability to me.
Right but it will also weigh at least twice as much as the 3 lb HP and even with a 15.6 inch screen the resolution will be similar to that of the 8.9 inch HP. The point of these cheap ultra portables like the EEE is to have a tiny footprint and light weight without having to pay $1000+ which was what you expect to pay for anything 12 inch or less before the EEE came.
If you aren't buying these laptops for the size and weight to price ratio then there's no point really.
It's a shame that they chose to go with the Via though, initial reviews say it's very slow...They might be prepping to use the VIA Isaiah which is pin compatible though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIA_Isaiah
Some financial institutes in the US have this policy as well. Vanguard will reimburse any losses made through fraudulent activity if you've taken some precautions they've outlined which includes the need to "Make certain that any computer you use to access Vanguard.com has up-to-date security and anti-spyware, antivirus, and firewall software."
So what happens if you're a Mac or Linux user and those security programs don't exist for your platform or they are unneeded? Can they just deny your claim and you lose all your assets for using an OS with a higher track record of security?
I guess that's better than TreasuryDirect's policy on the issue which states that they're not responsible if someone cleans out your account as long as it was done with your password.
Regulations Governing New TreasuryDirect System

14 pages for 14 535 x 383 resolution pictures. Ugh.

There aren't any 40 man instances in Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King so really he should have stopped at 25.
