I am very interested in the case seeing how I used to operate a very similar site till the DMCA was signed into law. I used to make about $300.00 per day off of advertising. I never distributed anything personaly or hosted an files on my servers, I simply showed people where to find it. I was often contacted by software companies telling me I was breaking the law and I explained I wasn't I was just finding it and suggested they use my site as a tool to take down the distribution points. I was doing all the work for them, hit the servers hosting it. Here is a list!!

Then the DMCA passed and I was forced to take my site offline or be prosecuted for contributory infringment. They actually threatened to prosecute me under the RICO act since I had employees that were searching the web finding links to post to my site. I

Personaly I don't think people should be held liable for what other people do.

Information should be free, the people should be held accountable for what they choose to do with it.

I have Comcast internet and I use bittorrent quite a bit. Recently I have been downloading a 1.8GB linux distro that I have been wanting to play around with. Shortly after starting the download I started getting corrupt packets causing my client to restart that section. Now if you look at my download stats I have downloaded 5.6GB of data for a 1.6GB file. This is now happening with every torrent I try to download. When I take my laptop to work (not comcast) I do not recieve these errors, when I take it to my friends (comcast) the errors instantly start up again. So it's not my laptop, it's not my router, it has to be comcast. That being said it seems they are screwing themselves if they are trying to save bandwith. Downloading 3.1 times the ammount I normally would have doesn't seem like much of a savings to me. Maybe they are trying to frustrate me enough to quit using BT. That is not going to happen. -FataL

Any system of voting that allows 99% of the country to vote for one candidate and then the remaining 1% say you know what I like this other guy better is flawed.

BTW I hate Michael Moore, and I don't have a tinfoil hat. I do however have a US Army uniform on and don't like sitting in the sand fighting a personal war for a president that the people did not elect.

The only reason I have bougt a game mag in the last several years is for the occasional demo disk. If the mags included playable demos with each issue I would subscribe to them all. I like to be able to try the game before I drop $60.00 on it and find out I don't like it despite it getting good reviews on the web or in print.

If game companies were smart they would give playable demos to the mags like crazy. Too bad I have yet to see one demo disk for the Wii, it might have prevented me from buying NBA 07, Rapala Fishing and that horrible piece of trash chicken shoot (I thought my 5 & 7 year olds would like it, I was horribly wrong)
