It could mean that we humans are good distinguishing among different random patterns, but the fact we can do that says nothing about the randomnes of the series.
Will those moron politicians also complain about tourist showing their picture if other people appear on them? Will they force tourist to delete their pictures after six month? it's 140 characters limit is great to avoid loads of bullshit. One of the greatest things of twitter is precisely that; it forces you to go to the point.
Really, the article says the guy is about to save 7.6 million children's lives and the head title is about the iPad? I can imagine the day someone cures cancer; the head news title will be "Dr. X uses an iMac to do his things"
to get a piece of the cake. There were two girls, one fat with a beautiful _face_ and one simple with beautiful _tweeting_ voice, now it seems Google wanted the perfect mixture of beautiful face and tweeting voice but instead is getting the simple fat one.

Word processors cannot be improving in terms of features forever and, anyway, people only use a small percentage of those, so I think "just" faster is "just" right.
No one stops you to rewrite the notes you already have while others students listen. If it works for you fine. And if the stuff is not covered by the book then the teacher should create slides and notes about it and hand them to you... and again... you can rewrite them in class if for some reason it helps you.
I believe only boring teachers do that to avoid their students to fall asleep. Unfortunately, instead trying to stop being boring they just add to the boredom a bit of torture so that they can feel good about themselves. They should check the definition of "note" anyway.

Really! This is one of the main reasons I love open source, things like this and others would be imposible/difficult with the iPhone OS.
