Though the page you refer to states some true facts, it is filled with FUD. I dont trust relativity, but the reasoning of the author seems a little questionable to me. The main problem with those theories as I had seen them formulated concern the definitions of the physical and meta-physical entities they try to describe: in many places they try to look like Newtons mechanics in some limit, and use a procedure that actually is a definition as if it where a deduction (obscure nevertheless: although in that page it assaults righteously at the bondage between newtons gravity and relativitys gravity).
All the way the author of that page makes his point by refrasing in a funny way what it is usually told about Relativity, and ignoring some of the easiest proposals for making up a consistent axiomatic set for the theory. Such as forgetting the HUGHE difference between proper time and what he calls t.
Thats also my impression. Those rules look Munchkin-like to me... Everything based on level? Come on, I thought D&D first edition was gone for good...
Now, I think that the original "Fading Suns" system (NOT the new d20) was great for fantasy-sci-fi such as Star Wars. I have actually played a Star Wars campaign with just a single page of home rules (yup, just a page for rules concerning use of the Force).
IMHO, level-oriented games encourage roll-playing instead of role-playing.
Remember some days ago,(another discussion here in slashdot), googles auction holders banned the anti-censorship move they were going about, only because that would mean going out of business in China.
So, i think its just pretty light not to accept ads, when they are trying to comply with Chinas demands on browsing.
There is more to life than better jobs, money and friends that come with the money.
I went to a very demanding school and regret it. I would have been happier if Id had a life.
Though having contacts is a HIGHLY important issue, and any good school should get some doors open for their students, a good professional is STILL a good professional, regardless of where he got his gegrees, Ph.Ds, etc. I have found reputation to be very deceiving. Of course you get a lot more resources in MIT; but sometimes resources are not enough.
In my opinion its not a matter of campuses and whatnot, its a matter of PEOPLE. And actually enjoying what you do.
P.D.: anyway, if anyone signs something and doesnt comply it, then they should NOT complain. Either you play the game by the rules, or you dont (and go make your own)

I did.
