I helped my grandparents with vista for a while but after seeing how bad vista really is I suggested Ubuntu. They said no. A few days later when their computer would only boot to a black screen. Ubuntu was loaded the next day. I set everything up and now its so less stressful helping them out. As much as I don't like Ubuntu, its way better than having to deal with a computer that has vista on it. So far its working out.
what does this have to do with modern electronics? It's sure not going to do anyone good that isn't interested in analog. Plus the book you would want for tube amps is Radiotron Designers Handbook 4th edition. This book is the tube bible. My copy is from 1953. I have 2 copies of the 3rd edition(1941). The interesting thing is that the 3rd edition has about 350 pages and the 4th edition has close to 1500 pages.
Don't pick up a physics book. Most of the time physics books have current as the flow of electrons. You want to learn from a book that is positive current convention i.e. the flow of holes.
That entire website Lessons In Electric Circuits is all flow of electrons.... useless.
One thing I disliked about Halo 2 was the reduced field of view, I'm still not used to it from Halo 1. The weapons set in Halo 2 stinks compared with Halo 1.
I have yet to play Halo 3. Is the FOV in Halo 3 the same as Halo 2?
I haven't loaded anything to my Ipod using Itunes since I started using Amarok. Its worth it to use Linux for Amarok alone. The fact that I don't have to have my entire library of music on my computer to load music to an Ipod and that I can take music off my Ipod just amazed me after using Itunes for as long as I did.
I sure don't miss downloading a new ~60mB file every 2 weeks for an update for Itunes either.
I've had a similar situation almost happen to me. If fairly sure you only have to provide ID when crossing the boarder, traffic stops and purchasing alcohol.

I'm calling that if the US falls, its going to be related to these laws. Not anything to do with Iraq or the Economy, oil, etc.
Has the government asked themselves the question "who owns the Internet?". And the answer being... Senator Ted Stevens.
^sarcasm^
Only if the people of the US had a lobbying group for internet freedom as big as the NRA.
