"The best ways to package the coffees are through one-way valve bags. After roasting, coffee releases gas. A one-way valve bag is flushed with nitrogen gas that removes the oxygen from the coffee. As the roasted coffee releases its gas, the gas needs to go somewhere. With a one-way valve bag, the released gases are allowed to leave the bag while air is not allowed to come into the bag."
