Um, everyone criticizes congress for the last few years of "obstructionism"-- seems to me theres your check / balance. And SCOTUS narrowly avoided striking down the healthcare law-- theres another check.
most of the citizenry still do not care.
And it is your opinion that in days of yore they did?
One thinks its appropriate to ignore immigration laws, the 10th amendment (healthcare anyone?), and our national debt, and the other doesnt?
Obviously Im biased, but obviously there are differences. Im sure dems would remark on how we hate women and whatnot, and I think we would both agree that there is a huge difference.
By every single benchmark I have ever seen, watt for watt Intel absolutely slaughters ARM in terms of the work it gets done. ARM runs at lower power, but it is most certainly not more efficient.
If you have benchmarks showing me wrong, Id be most interested to see them.
Im not aware of the "lets kill people" political position, nor why you think it is appropriate to say what "Americans" categorically believe when we are pretty solidly divided about how to govern.
Your statement isnt even historically accurate. Its not like Americans have been super pro-war with most of the wars we've had since our founding....
However, he did drag the US kicking and screaming into the first world by passing healthcare reform
I think what so many outside the US miss is that this is a controversial issue, not because half of us hate babies, women, the elderly, and the sick, but because we have been raised in a country that has historically been pretty suspicious of government.
In talking with a friend from Europe what struck me was that she could not (initially) understand why I was so averse to government involvement with things, and I could not understand why she was so OK with it. I guess I would say that perhaps friends from overseas should try to understand a little more of the american mindset (both sides) on the issues before flat out declaring that we were some third world cesspool simply because we didnt have universal healthcare. Keep in mind that it was hotly debated whether such a measure was even legal, because again americans are pretty divided on whether we WANT government doing healthcare.
I would also say that if getting rid of polarization is the goal, it helps a LOT to have close friends who are willing to challenge you. Certainly having heard the case for European style government I think has been instructive, and given me a lot more respect for the other side-- even if I still disagree with it.
Maplestory and a huge number of other games really are F2P, its just extra useless crap (like cosmetic stuff) or stuff you can get anyways over time(LoL, TF2, etc) that they charge for
Wouldnt it be enough to just label those claims as absurd and ignore them? If someone is determined to think Im an idiot, Im probably not going to convince him otherwise no matter what I say, and it seems rather a waste of time to try.
You cant join them ot the same domain at all, as there is essentially a rootkit service on each SBS box (SBCore service) that will cause the server to reboot randomly if it detects any other DCs on the domain.
Your problem isn't AD, its that grand total of zero IT staff.
So in your opinion, his being able to cough up $700 for an SBS license and $350 for one-time consulting fees is an inferior solution to paying a college kid $35k/yr to admin a buggy samba box?
I'll gladly accept their money and pull whichever lever they ask of me - it boils down to literally whether I want $100 or not.
The idea that your vote doesnt count if your candidate doesnt win is stupid, and undermines the system. Part of the point of a democracy is to have you involved (consent of the governed), and part is that if there enough of you who dont like the system you will eventually cause change.
Next time you feel like railing against the government, consider that you are part of the problem.
Way to get strawman of the day award. The only reason that people oppose abortion is because they believe that that which is in the womb is a person fully deserving of legal and moral protection. If they are correct, "choice" doesnt come into it, and your post, with its sarcastic "my freedom is greater than yours", demonstrates WHY it should be forbidden.
If ONLY people could come up with methods for non-repudiation on a computer! What an exotic concept.
There are difficulties in digitizing the process, and many of them will almost certainly be in a flawed implementation, but its not impossible to make it accountable.
VMWare (and, I understand, all of their competitors) have this notion of clustering where one "main server" can be rebooting without causing any of their guests to suffer interruption.
You can stuff those services onto a separate guest, but as long as things are laid out properly and you dont have some dependency for your virtual infrastructure on that guest, you can virtualize it just fine. You can even virtualize the vCenter server, though it makes bringing the virtual infrastructure back up from scratch a little bit more painful (you have to manage the servers individually until vCenter is back up).
You dont understand, the lack of bugs is the problem. Theyre working hard to make sure it upholds the iTunes legacy in full. What would iTunes on Windows be without bugs?
Why would you have to retest "everything" if youre only modifying the permadeath function? Comment out the parts that do stuff, replace the function with func _invokePermaDeath()
return(1) end func
If that change involves retesting "everything" or even some non-trivial subset, youve done something wrong.
I knew the man was dead in the water before the primary even ended
Despite nearly winning the popular vote? Thats some clairvoyance you had there.
Its a contract that gives our government legitimacy. You cant just throw that away and expect to maintain legitimacy.

Security essentials is packaged for businesses as Forefront, and can be managed centrally.
Being "massive in the enterprise market" doesnt mean youre good at it.

Wow, someone crafts a strawman and it gets +5.

Im actually not sure if youre serious or not, well done.
It's the freemium that never seems to work
Tell that to DDO, MapleStory, and any of the zillions of other freemium games that make decent profits on microtransactions.

It is the only reason for opposing abortion that I have actually heard from the people who oppose abortion.
If there are any others I would be interested to hear them.

Does not compute.

Im gonna guess its nothing quite as stupid as non-PGP'd email coming from throw-away email accounts.

None can love freedom heartily, but good men... the rest love not freedom, but license.

Im still not really clear why anyone should care about the religious beliefs of Newton or Einstein.

I wouldnt worry about that, Im sure theyre trying to make sure it runs as well as possible on OSX while remaining as buggy as possible on Windows.
They really have a knack at that, and Im looking forward to what they managed to pull off this time.
