Struggling to pass common sense laws about things the government should not be involved in is just a protracted way to further cement government power over everything in your life. The debate is always focused on a tangent. The goal which is always accomplished is for everyone to look to government to bless everything.

If you are dying what right does anyone else on this planet have to say about what treatments you can try? Ethically, no one.

I co sidered it a possibility and acceptwd it at one time but had to keep convincing myself. Had to accept that if I had to keep convincing myself and if pop culture thinks its universally true then there has to be serious doubt. Too much to associate myself with what appears to be a foolish and nieve conclusion.

When was the last time you saw pop culture, politics, and science aligned with eachother to affect positive change in the world?

The thing you are really complaining about--perpetual war with the goal of American hegemony--has gotten worse and is now embraced by both parties. The government as it is and as it sees itself is justified in waging continual war to defend itself. The people are not totally on board--hence the need for the lies. Watch as the world governments flail about in the midst of sweeping technological and economic change--every effort meant to preserve themselves over the other governments. Consent of the governed?
