I hear you. I think over a dozen people in my grade have pre-ordered Halo 3 (no small feat either, especially when you consider that my school has less than a hundred kids in my grade.) and I simply refuse to get hyped about it. They all talk about how it's going to be 'GOTY', and when I ask them why, the answer is more often than not '.....because it's Halo'. I might get it for Christmas, but probably not. Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed will be out by then. I'd much rather push my paychecks toward those two than Halo.
Actually, wouldn't an 'R' rating for a movie be equal to an 'M' rating of a video game? I though R videos were restricted to under 17 unless accompanied by an adult. NC-17 would be more akin to a video game AO rating, but 17 year olds can still see the movie, where as only adults can buy AO games.
Wasn't the whole premise of a Super Smash Bros mindless action? Adding a storyline will only complicate things up to the point where I have to thin...er, nevermind.
The closest place where I could physically go and pick up the 360 is about two and a half hours away, so yes, my time would be worth more than fifty bucks with the cost of driving there and back.
I ordered an Xbox 360 last night. (Got the works, X360 Premium, VGA cables, and Gears of War)
I don't really care if it's legit or not, when you're spending upwards of $420 for the works, fifty bucks isn't a whole lot. If I didn't have a job $50 could make the difference, but I have the honor of working at a local Radio Shack (I'm still surprised they hired me - I'm only 15) so being a high rolla' is just a perk.

Even though the PS3's Cell architecture is more of a pain to develop in than the 360's.
