    They research it on Google then watch a youtube video on how to hack the hamburger helper and customize it for hardcore vegans or how make it code monkey friendly. Then they put their own twist on it and upload the video of their "Hamburger Helper Hack" to youtube and post about it on their blog.

    They normally train with their weapons and get proficient with them.

    I do not really care. If the anti-gun people want to sit around and hope that there is a cop next to them when shit goes down that is their right.
    But we all know the cops are there to investigate murders and to help bring about justice after the fact.
    Rarely are they able to stop something while it is happening.

    5 or 6 rounds of 9mm or .40 S&W or .45 ACP hitting him from 3 or 4 different people in the theater would have given quite a few people time to get the fuck out.
    Even wearing body armor it is going to hurt you, slow you down and distract you.
    And if someone gets a good shot in it can still put him down.

    I use Keypad and Mouse.
    Faster, Configurable, and Accurate.
    I love my PS3, I really do. Even though it is wholly owned by "Evil Mega Corp Sony" and they can fuck it up anytime they want I still kinda like it most of the time.
    But with a controller you can not be as fast and as accurate as you can be with a mouse and a keyboard/keypad.

    Google Calendar. When you need pretty reports you can even export one or multiple calendars to csv and do what you will.

    They borrowed shitloads of money to put high speed rail from San Diego to San Francisco.
    Now it has gone from 68 Billion to 120 billion dollars. Also it was paired down to from Bakersfield to Fresno, then they said fuck it and just decide to take the money and spend it on existing rail and buses.

    If that is the #1 feature. Should you not be looking at the regular Kindle or the Nook? You know something with a incredibly readable E-Ink screen.
    Or are you willing to throw your "Number One Feature" feature out the door for "Color".
    If that is the case then I believe that "Color" is your number one feature.

    It does not need to hand out pieces of paper. Actual education is important. Papers to get a job are an entirely different thing.
    I use Kahn to learn interesting things that I do not have a need to know.

    I blame the unions.
    The unions get their money from the teachers.
    The teachers pay the unions, the unions use that money to pay off the politicians, the politicians throw money at travesties like fucking CALPERS.
    The politicians negotiate the terms of the union contracts with the people paying to keep them in office.
    If the teachers put a stop to it it would halt. They do not. They say they give a shit about the kids. But that is not as important as
    a years pay for a few months work, full benefits for them for life and tenure.

    The money is given to the school system. They spend it badly.
    Private schools could compete and give better education for less money.
    We need to stop listening to the unions and take 75% of what we spend on a student and give it as a voucher.
    Let the parents decide and save money.

    I am not sure in this day and age that school is even relevant up to the high school level.
    With an internet connection and a smart phone it is more important to me that my children understand that ignorance for more than 5 minutes on any subject is a choice. I have personally taught my children how to do useful internet searches and how to vet the information they come across. They have been taught by me to seek out contradictory views on information they find via the internet. How to form their own informed opinions.

    If public schools cared at all for the students the first thing children would be taught would be how to learn. How to study.
    Public schools are there to indoctrinate. They are "taught" about how teachers care for them and their parents are bad people for not wanting to give the teachers more. They are encouraged to "strike" for their teachers.
    I think what Texas is doing is stupid.
    I see their point though. While I think that encouraging children to question and apply critical thinking is awesome.
    I also believe that what would actually happen is that children would just be indoctrinated into that districts way of thinking.

    I do not really give a shit what they teach anymore.
    As long as their unions make districts shuffle bad teachers around instead of firing them, as long as they somehow deserve to get paid a good full years wage for a few months work, as long as every time there is a pay dispute I have to watch commercial about how they are only thinking of the children then Fuck Them.

    Teachers are one of the most entitled "Classes" of people I have ever seen. At least here in California.
    Their work product sucks. They blame it on lack of funds. You give them more money and their work product gets worse. They say they just need more money.
    In California these union thugs are using our children against us in order to rape the public of their funds.

    Fuck Unionized Public Educators. Fuck every single one of them.
