I always judged E3, not by the official presentations, but the the reactions of FANS who were actually there. I don't want to read some canned, generic explanation of products like all the crap you read on the Windows install page (Microsoft-ME-is-a-better-version-than-the-last-be cause-everything-is-more-streamlined-and-easier-bl ah-blah-blah bullshit). I want real impressions from a big geeky douchebag, not all that unlike myself, who got to see things and who recorded the videos on their hidden jacket camcorder. I want to hear how the new games PLAYED not just see trailers that highlight the the coolest part of the game-show me what I will enjoy throughout.
Since there are much fewer people attending it now, I will just have to read LESS opinions of E3 now, and make further judgments based on those.
could someone please explain to me how all the steps taken by the MAFIAA and other organizations to lock down digital content is any different than the government trying to lock down alcoholic beverages during Prohibition? Because it seems to be just as effective. All prohibition did was turn everyone that drank alcohol from a legal citizen to an outlaw that drank alcohol. I make copies of all my media, and the tools are very readily available. Only the noob of noobs can not figure how to copy digital content anymore. I hope they do like they did in prohibition and realize that what they are doing is a waste of resources and repeal the law.
Although, I honestly don't see it happening.
The movie Team America: World Police was original given an NC-17 rating if you can believe that because the puppet sex scene was too long. You can see the original version on the Unrated and Uncut edition. The only addition is about 20 seconds which includes a scene of anilingus, the Gary pissing on Lisa's face, and Lisa shitting on Gary's face.
Either way, it's still one of my top ten favorite movies of all time.
Parthenogenesis is a technique used by other creatures that are capable of sexual reproducing as well. This is different than say snails, which can self fertilize (which does not increase genetic variability either), but likewise many of the previous posts are correct, it does not increase genetic variability. The BENEFIT of doing something like this is simply for the ability to increase population numbers. It is the exception, not the rule. If a shark in the wild isn't able to find another mate, it's line dies. However if it essentially clones itself, then it is still increasing it's chances of spreading it's DNA further down the line. (Insert jokes here). Snails do something similar for the same reason, because there is a possibility it may not find a mate in its lifetime.
