JCreator is not open source and the light edition is only free if you are using it in academia. The free version also doesn't have a built in CVS client. In this situation there are many other IDE's out there which are Open Source and have many more features (Netbeans or Eclipse) and are cross platform for an added bonus.
As part of my degree we had to do some group development projects and chose to set up a google group to put all the work on as it allowed us to upload any type of file. We also used the page creator in it to make links to versions as they changed. This was pretty simple to set up and use though slightly tedious as times.
Its interesting that recently references were found to a Pharaoh who changed Egyptian culture completely to Worshiping a monotheistic God (which was embodied by the son). After his death they reverted to Polytheism. Both the monotheistic Pharaoh and the one before him seem to have etched out of history.
Just to make the slight point that this is a military organisation who has been running their own custom Operating Systems prior to this. I am sure their support teams would be able to handle adapting to Linux.
Looking at my family tree I find that going back to 1806 most of my family were born to a mother who was in her late 30's or early 40's. The only reason people are more concerned about down syndrome now is because it can be tested for in the womb and aborted, also people don't hide it as much. In the past children born with defects would be suitably disposed of either in an institute or some kind of drowning.
Look at the Nokia Internet Tablet range. They are open architecture, there is already a port of FBReader for it and it has a decent PDF reader as well as a large screen.
Actually I wouldn't mind spending my taxes on such teaching.
I think I should change the term teaching to discussion. I know when I was in school we were encouraged to discuss what we thought about scientific theories, including ones which had no proof for them.
I do not like the way that this kind of discussion is allowed when discussing computing future (quatumn and light based computing) but with evolution everything is very closed off.
The basis of the idea behind intelligent design is the belief in a God or other deity which has no beginning or end, in this case there is no need for a previous designer.
The point is intelligent design basically agrees with evolution but suggests that someone kick started it. There is no science which disagrees with this, I see no reason why this couldn't be taught (for what it is) as a theory in a classroom.
Your thoughts?
He isn't necessarily referring to stuff microsoft sell. He is referring to oem bundled software which makes the computer usable, antivirus, antispyware etc - office would just be a bonus. All of this is not required or is free in linux.
I doubt you can even get 400 MHz in space. The computers in space equipment are dates because you can't have as complex chips in space due to radiation issues, or so I've been told.
Nope, instead they leave archives of the information on trains...

Umm... yes both for aesthetic and practical reasons.
Sorry about that, the son was a genuine spelling mistake.

E61i also has quite a nice keyboard.

How can you be sure they are virus and malware free without a scanner?
Sounds like good news to me, it will increase competition.

Interesting article but really quite vague.
