For how many billions (trillions?) that the F22 has gone over budget, underperformed, and doesn't really have any particular need except politically, 400 million is a drop in the bucket. Give NASA the F22 budget and prepare to be amazed.
5% survival is not being decimated. That would be 90% survival. If the guy is a scientist of sorts, you'd think he could get such a simple thing correct.
Please. if there is a piece of software that I am using, the only reason that I *want* the changelogs are to see if it is worth upgrading and risking other bugs in order to fix the issue I'm stuck with. If there's software that I don't feel a horrendous burden from using it; I'd still like to know what has changed and why I should grab the newest version vs "misc bug fixes".
I got the alert 6 times. By the time I got it the first time, I'd already seen the alert elsewhere. Every single time it went off, I was still not in a position to see *that* car much less any car. Had I received it once, cool, no issues whatsoever. When it blows up my phone every 5 minutes, I'm going to disable it. I think giving it 30 min of being obnoxious was plenty generous and I don't much care if you think that makes me a terrible person.
I got the message six times. I was in a bar and had already seen the keno machines go nuts displaying it. Unless the car drove through the room, there wasn't a damned thing I could do to catch someone a few hundred miles away. End result is that I disabled Amber alerts on my phone.
I like my TDI JSW quite a bit as well. Dropped it off yesterday to get some basic service done and they gave me a gas Passat. Way less responsive and significantly higher fuel use. I'm definitely sticking with diesel, despite the pointlessly higher cost these days.
When they're putting on the glove, tell them to double bag it because you just got back from ______ and you're pretty sure there isn't even an English word yet for the horrific STD you picked up there.
I do the same thing. Last time I flew through Glacier International was in early January. They still had the scanner, but I opted for the pat down. I'd rather make them have to touch more balls so they prefer the old method as opposed to just security theater and punishment for opting out.
XBMC allows different users. Have your network share set with multiple user accounts, only give access to certain movies on the kid account. Then you can watch any kid-safe movie without a password, and you can watch anything at all with the proper password.
62% to "nearly 70%"
That could easily be 66% and optimism.

Why does TFA mention that it is first come, first serve, but not provide a link to where a person should make a claim?

I wonder if the device sends out two pulses in quick succession to cancel out background noise?
Someone already hacked the Emergency network in Montana last year to make it report that there were zombies.

Enhanced pat downs came *after* the scanners. Why would going back to just metal detectors require enhanced pat downs?
The last one I had at Glacier International was very brief. He was clearly more uncomfortable about it than I was.

It isn't defamation if it's true. Good luck in court.

Easier to just abduct the family for a little while.
Why not get a couple routers, set up DD-WRT and use WDS. That's what it's there for and it's simple to configure.
There's a good chance they already did.
It's the interwebs. You don't need to cite references to incite people to action. (as long as that action is limited to clicking {like})
Time to buy some beachfront property?
Why post a valid (unpopular) opinion as AC? Put your purse down.
It was just Stargate Voyager. Stargate DS9 was fun while it lasted, but neither were as good as the original.
Who says that giant corporations aren't an enemy to the good of the nation? (aside from them)
Hmm. I was really drunk, but I'm still not sure how spell check ended up at that.
