    In general. Small cars regardless of when they were built are just not designed to go much past 160 km/h.

    They are
    A) Light
    B) Tall
    C) With little to no downforce

    It's just elementary physics that they become unstable at high speeds.

    You're aware that there's a slight difference between a sports car and city sedans right?

    There's no issue with cars becoming sketchy past 100mph when the traffic flow is 80mph, since there exists no reason for you to go up to 100mph.

    The most intuitively obvious answer is that if your muscle growth can't be limited you're more likely to starve to death during famines.

    However I wouldn't be surprised if unchecked muscle growth also leads to bone/tendon damage/poor muscle control/heart issues etc.

    I have this sneaking suspicion that if genome 'brakes' are present in most animals, they're probably there for a reason.

    I wonder what sort of long term side effects you'd be looking at with vastly increased muscle growth.

    Well, from what Obama says in the video. It appears to me it is an out of context quote that addresses the failure of the constitution to properly uphold that second sentence:

    "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

    After all, it wasn't until 1865, 89 years after those words were written that those rights were granted to non-whites and it wasn't until 1960's it got properly enforced.

    The document does have 27 amendments and still counting.

    Well, the point of the article was that it was only Medicaid that was putting people on Methadone after putting it on the 'preferred drugs' list, implying that it is an 'equally safe' drug against all evidence to the contrary.

    Meanwhile those with private insurance still get prescribed the more expensive Oxycontin.

    Huh? This is about pain medication that you're prescribed, not the pain medication you get while at the hospital (which tends to be mostly injected Morphine afaik).

    As far as I know, usually what happens is that while the drug is strong, it's not effective in treating chronic pain because the effectiveness is erratic.

    The patient will then take more of the drug, because they think that their dose is too low since it's not being effective, thus ending up overdosing themselves.

    Overdose isn't when you take more then prescribed, it's when you take more then what your body can handle.

    As such most overdoses are accidental.

    What are you on about? The story is about the fact that people use the Opiod Methadone over other Opiods for painkiller use because it's cheap. However it is vastly more lethal then the other Opiods.

    The way I understand most of the suicide bombings go down, religious indoctrination isn't a very large part of it.

    There's no shortage of suicidal people around, just look at the your local death statistics sometime, it's pretty staggering. So what they do is that they let it be known that if you go out with a bang, then they'll pay your family quite a lot of money.

    Suddenly it becomes very tempting to take that suicide route rather then the traditional ones.

    Obviously neither the suicider nor the one that gives him the mission have the religion as their main motivator.

    The New Testament was largely a bugfix, it doesn't really matter what you do though, fanatics will just ignore anything that doesn't support their worldview regardless.

    Well, Christianity and Islam are not singular ideologies. The few remaining Christians in Scandinavia for instance tend to just go with the 'golden rule' and ignore more or less everything else in the book.

    National Socialism and Stalinist Communism aren't inherently evil, they're both examples of rulers implementing policies vastly different then the official party line.

    Have you ever actually looked at the politics that the National Socialists presented before they gained power?

    It's mostly just legacy. Since most governments were intimately connected to the church the church enjoyed many privileges. Later when the governments and churches split up in the name of religious freedom, they didn't want to take away all their privileges, so instead they gave them to all churches.

    Leaving us where we are now, having a really hard time justifying why they're getting any special privileges at all.
