  1. Looked at a Cintiq? on Best Tablet PC For Classroom Instruction? · · Score: 1

Have you considered using a Cintiq? It's fairly inexpensive by comparison, and should work with just about any computer. I haven't used one myself, but I know a few people who swear by them for working in photoshop, so it should offer the precision you're looking for.

  3. This what you had in mind? on Using 1 Gaming Computer For 2 People? · · Score: 2, Interesting

This company offers software that allows you to run multiple sessions off of one computer, with separate monitors and inputs.

  4. Translation: on Windows 7 Won't Have Compact "MinWin" Kernel · · Score: 4, Funny

"We're very clear that drivers and software that work on Windows Vista are going to work really well on Windows 7"
Windows 7 will be incompatible with just about every third party application. Any compatibility with other Microsoft will be purely incidental.

"We are going to build on the success and the strength of the Windows Server 2008 kernel"
We're making it an even larger resource hog. Idling, Windows 7 will likely occupy 2 or more cores, and 4GB of ram.

"The key there is that the kernel in Windows Server 08 is an evolution of the kernel in Windows Vista, and then Windows 7 will be a further evolution of that kernel as well."
We're going to try our best to make Windows 7 so convoluted that no one can possibly discover the vast security holes.

Hope this is a bit easier to read.

IANAL, but I could get used to writing utter bullshit like that.

"Several of the examples rely on MySQL, which I found a chore to install." For anyone out there who'd like to have MySQL, PHP, and javascript support in Apache should check out Apache Friends (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/index.html) Their xampp project, available for Windows, Linux, sparc, etc. Is easy to install, and once you've done it, it's all ready to use. Full MySQL and PHP support. I also installed their Perl addon, and so far it's all worked flawlessly.
