I could see the issue if the first light was turning red while people were in the junction but that doesn't appear to be the case. The law is clear, only enter a box junction if your exit is clear. If that means you need to let the vehicle in front completely traverse the junction and have a full car length behind them, then that's what you are supposed to do.

With that said, I will accept that it is a badly designed junction.

There also needs to be a mark on the road that would indicate where you would be running a red if you had passed it and were traveling the speed limit. People would still game it but I have had lights go both ways on me.

Not be created and run by government which has very little interest in ensuring the success of legislation which has already passed. There's the next election to think about, don't you know and those pesky Republians/Democrats [delete as applicable] are going to destroy the world if you don't vote in our slightly less scummy candidate.

Didn't really want it (I had a Samsung in mind) but it's what work gave me (it was that or an iphone). Gotta say, the battery life is impressive and it doesn't sacrifice much performance, only lagging occasionally. I actually intended to run the battery flat a couple of weekends ago but it was still going late Sunday from being taken off charge Friday AM.

I'd forgotten how nice having decent battery life is. I had an L7089 in a past life and that would go out to seven days. I would gladly sacrifice quite a few "niceties" for battery life. Where are the e-ink android phones? (I have a Motofone F3 somewhere but sadly it doesn't work on the frequencies here)
