Do they take account of the fact that the blood comes back down again? You might need a heart that size if you are pumping the blood at atmospheric pressure but if you keep the pressure built up on the veinous side, you just need to provide a pressure differential and to overcome viscous resistance.
Indeed. And how about instead of taxing us to prop up dying industries, we try lowering taxes so that industries in Western economies can actually compete against foreign exporters?
You don't have to answer it, you know. Just get an answer phone. I rarely answer a call at all. Only if I happen to be near the phone and the caller ID is someone I want to talk to right then. Even my boss frequently goes to voicemail on my cell phone.
In the original movie, the resistance were on top of Skynet and sending Arnie back was a last ditch attempt to stop the resistance and they therefore already knew that they didn't have the information that would have been provided by such a mission. They should therefore have also known that Arnie was going to fail and indeed he did. In fact, part of the (somewhat dissapointing) point of the third movie was that the past could not be changed. I'm sure the series vomited all over that though. I tried watching it but unwatched episodes were building up on the DVR then they started expiring then I deleted the season pass.
As a motorcyclist myself, I have to say that antagonizing someone in a ton of metal armour when all you are is a bag of flesh sitting atop an engine is *not* a survival tactic
I understand the emotion but I also understand the reality. What a motorcyclist has going for him is speed and maneuverability. Use them.
Yeah, that's almost as dumb as charging customers for tone dialing when your equipment can handle it much easier than pulse dialing in the first place (though both are an anachronism)
"For enhanced security, please enter your favorite color"
red
"Your security response contains too few characters. Please try again"
FFS!
(Red is not my favorite color by the way, this was for a throwaway account and I was just trying to be lazy on the typing).
My other favorite is sites that don't allow me to use some of the characters in my low-security password or require more characters than it contains, meaning I have to invent an entirely new password that will be forgotten within 5 minutes.
Great. Stupid people are less likely to "Get things done". One of the big problems we have at the moment is that the public expects politicians to "get things done" instead of acting as a gentle guiding influence on the course of things.
Hopefully they'd all just drink beer and fall asleep all day.
Blacks really have very little to do with it. The issue is that minorities of all stripes have interests that should be protected and which the majority should not be able to trample over. One way to attempt this is to have a constitution which seeks to protect the basic rights of those minorities and another is to allow the "minorities" to block the action of the majority when warranted. This is why the US is a republic and not a democracy. Raw democracy would be a truly fearful thing.
Yeah, well, in other parts of the world, having a decent vocabulary isn't considered a stigma. A fairly common word in use in the UK when I was growing up. Man, I've had to stop using so many good words since I moved to the States. The looks of incomprehension wear after a while. Not to say that the States haven't got a whole lot going for them though...

You aren't willing to give up your newspapers so your intention is that others should pay for it. Right...

The landline is for my benefit, not others. So I treat it accordingly.

It was a dromedary
Let's hope they don't get wind of what the BATF are up to then...
There are worse things than dying.

No longer do. And I seem to be saying "I'm never going back" more and more often these days.

Of course. The interests might vary but the basis for protection needs to be based on fundamental universal rights

How did we manage to get to where "Weapon of Mass Destruction" became a Euphemism for ABC weapons and not a weapon that causes massive destruction?
I mean
6/2i=-3i
6i/2=3i
Let's move on to the word "literally" then.
that they'll be reshooting "Finding Nemo"?
