That's pretty awful. One of the primary advantages of a GPS is the ability to tell it to find an alternate route if there is an obstruction up ahead. This is often in traffic that is moving slowly enough to operate the GPS safely and still pay attention but not slow enough to stop and park.
Trust me, if you ever have the turbocharger go out, you'll find it isn't about how you drive. It's an absolute requirement if you don't want really dismal performance. I understand that lack of them in the past is part of the reason diesels still have trouble gaining acceptance in the US. With that said, it is a lot of fun when it kicks in:)
I prefer driving a manual over an automatic but a lot of that is about getting the most out of the vehicle. If the gears weren't a requirement for doing so, I suspect I wouldn't miss them. In fact, it would be even better as unless you're driving a CVT, you'll be off the peak of the powerband most of the time anyway.
So do many companies and individuals. It would be nice if we were all interested in lower taxes overall instead of just carving out special exceptions for pet projects.
It's not so much "are they honest?" as "what if they're not". It's the same reason many of us weren't happy when Bush was helping himself to all those powers and now those who supported him are now crying about Obama taking it forward. Some things are just bad on principle.
The theory (and I say this as a supporter of Bitcoin) was that as this situation was approached, miners would see the risk they were bringing to their earnings and move away from any pool that was getting anywhere near 50%.
Unfortunately, as it turns out, GHash has a model which (Apparently due to braindead investors) rewards miners far better than any other pool or solo mining. So it becomes a prisoner's dilemma for the miners and no one was leaving. In the end, from my understanding, Gigahash effectively took their own miners out of their own pool to "Save the day". Unfortunately, it may be too little too late just as you can't lose your virginity a little bit. Once that line is crossed... It's going to be interesting to see what comes next.
Not sure how long ago your anecdote is but most milk in the US is homogenized which, indeed, lasts a lot longer than the milk I grew up with as a child in the UK. It's still milk though and I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the world was moving to this method as it allows milk to be kept on the shelf longer.
I bought a 3D camera based on some pictures taken with my daughter's 3DS. I had also played with creating some 3D pictures with a "snap, two paces right, snap" method. There's definitely something that the added depth brings to some scenes (some more than others) that isn't present in a regular picture. It requires a little thought about the composition though so may not be so useful on a phone mostly used for instagram pictures.
If you have a way to view 3D at all, hop over to Phereo.com. I think some of my pictures are under the same name as here.
3D movies are a fad but 3D photographs can be quite spectacular. Unfortunately, viewing is an issue requiring either a special viewing device or expensive printing. It's a shame but it is what it is.
Agreed. There are a few paradigms that you really need to get your head around before you can use some languages (OO and threading, for example) but new languages tend to be mostly just learning how they do the same old thing.
Go Raspberry Pi or Android. As long as too much crap isn't integrated with the audio which is an unfortunate trend.

Maybe they'll just use the standard overreach and make the state implement the policy or not receive highway funds.
Have you seen how fast deer move? Even with 100% attention to the road, they can still get you.
(Not illegal in an emergency, obviously)
Pulling over at the side of an interstate/motorway is both dangerous and illegal.
My condolences on the door handles.
Around here they're used for disposing of trash. Just load up with garbage bags, drive 10 miles and at the end the bed is empty...

It's all a conspiracy by Big Hybrid.

Hill start was part of the UK driving test when I took it.

Same here. Between CYA and emails which contain some extremely useful information, can't afford not to keep them around.

You can find decent cheese in the US but you have to look hard and it's usually imported. Good bread is even harder to find.

Creamer is basically more sugar if you look at the ingredients. Its ubiquitousness here is a large part of the reason I now drink my coffee black.
Lifting not required. The cow jumped over the moon.

Or, at least, that is what you can tell the girl at the bar.

That's not intrinsic. If you don't want to do those things, it has no value for them. All value is subjective.
Gold's utility value is way below its current market valuation though.
