Wow, either you're a terrible driver or you have no idea of the length of a second.
I have never so far met an automatic gearbox that shifts as quickly as I do (and I'm not even using a short-shifter or anything), met quite a few that lag terribly and met none at all that were able to select the gear I needed ahead of time.
That's not to say fast shifting automatics don't exist but they're on better cars than I have driven. DSG does sound interesting and will likely be on my next car (VW have apparently abandoned the manual gearbox in the US). I have driven a regular automatic VW or two and they are no better (or worse) than others.
I believe it does matter. But only time will tell. I have no interest in trying to convince anyone though (well, from time to time it's a bit of fun), I believe these things will become evident. If they don't, I'm wrong and so what?
You don't even have to typo. There's a nasty bug in Konsole where if you're typing under load, it will get characters out of order. So rm -rf/var/tmp/x/var/tmp/y becomes rm -rf/var/tmp/x/var/tmp/y (or something like that). That was fun to recover from.
Cool. I've been thinking about looking at Glacier as an additional backup option. Really needs to be supplemental to backups under local control as well unless it's just stuff you really don't care about too much.
What's the deal with NVidia and on-board graphics? Have they exited the market? I recently had to replace a MB with onboard NVidia and wanted to find another with NVidia onboard (because drivers) but nada. Fortunately the drivers for the Athlon with onboard ATI were not hard to install and it works fine for what it's used for but it was just surprising and perhaps what was even more surprising was the lack of commentary. Like they just went out with a whimper.
So if you know you use 2n2222s, just buy 50 for $1 on ebay (including shipping) and probably never worry about it again. Do this for a few common components and you've probably saved enough to do next-day-shipping when the need really is urgent. If you need something sooner than that, you have a problem but there's a good chance RS wouldn't have it anyway.
Agreed.
These were typically "this year's model" mid-size cars from the Emerald Aisle at National.
Wind noise alone is enough to damage hearing. As poster below mentions, earplugs are the answer.
And "It's a Small World" to cyclists.

Yep. Every time someone has to pay, you're presenting them with the choice to switch to a competitor.
Suggest you look up the history of currencies in the early United States. You want unstable?
It does it very efficiently.

I did too and never had any problems. I just heard of a few exploits of various things that made me uncomfortable with the idea.

You have to have a realistic estimation of the value of your data.
In truth, for many of us, the most valuable data is the most trivial to back up.
He didn't protect himself against malicious code and got caught by incompetent code.
Yep. If you don't have offline backups, you're going to have a bad time.
That is a different permission system to the one under discussion.

1) Don't run your fileserver on your router/firewall. You're asking for problems.
2) Not all Linuxes run Systemd (Yay Slackware). I have nothing against the BSDs and they are probably better for networking anyway.
Personally I have Tomato on my firewall/router and use Slackware for my server needs. Serves me pretty well.

But now you just buy a jumbo pack of assorted resistors from China for $3 (free shipping) and you're set for life.
I believe the Muslims regard Jesus as a prophet so slight flaw in your suggestion there.
I agree, I really didn't expect that from this pope who has moved the church forward in a more liberal way on a lot of issues!!!
Ah, maybe some light of understanding is starting to shine then.
Like the GB Pound under Norman Lamont. Might want to ask George Soros about that.
Yet also the reason many have them.
This experiment isn't done yet.
This is true. I run my own router myself.
